I want the bull that snapped him off...lol

The spot south of diablito is private property. it was part of the sopori ranch but was sold to first united realty. first united is owned by vince watts who loves to hunt coues deer but doesn't want anyone on the ranch hunting. first united also owns the solero among other ranches. they are slated to develop that area of the sopori into 40 acre parcels., the cowboy that is running cattle for first united will be scouring the ranch pretty heavy I hear from some friends in amado. the sopori also owned cerro pelon which is also now sold to first united and will be developed soon.

I called in 2 bears and a fox and 3wt does in the same set one time talk about a diaper change! I think it's like Nascar for the deer. They come in to watch and see who got in a wreck.

new mexico will charge your card the 6 dollar app fee which was hit when you sent in your app. you will get your voucher in the mail and then go to a lisc. dealer and buy your tag. this applies to deer only all others will be hit in full in the next day or so. so checking your card for a hit on deer is a waste of time probably tonight they will have the draw up on line.

NEED HELP ON A HUGE BUCK!!!!!!
the breeze replied to southpaw's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
tracking dogs are a nono in az. do what az guide said or wait a week and look for the crows. what kind/color blood were you getting? what brdhd were you using? try typing in lower case as all caps are considered to be shouting as far as the internet goes. good luck -
I am not the one calling people out. I am however stating the facts. It is unethical to go buy a new bow 2 weeks before the hunt starts and expect to into the field with it. If someone wants to debate against that be my guest.
-
your handle tells it all. you are gun hunter taking your bow for a walk once a year. name the time and place.
-
ok humor me why would you buy a new bow 2 weeks before the hunt? and then expect that in 2 weeks time you can get it all tuned and shoot it enough to be confident and comfortable in the field with it? whats the differance in that and buying a new rifle 2 weeks befor the hunt and firing a box through it and then heading into the field. i would say either way it's bad ethics but with the rifle scenerio being the lesser of the 2 evils. don't want to be a buzz kill. you are probably a great rifle hunter. i sure wouldn't be advertising on the internet that i bought a bow that wouldn't shoot and i planned on hunting with it in 2 weeks. good luck and let us know how many you wound.
-
why would you wait until the last minute b4 the hunt to have all that work done to your bow any how? seems like a guy that has all year to mess around with a bow that waits until the week b4 the hunt to do so probably isn't much of a bowhunter any way. i know for me it takes at least 2-3 weeks after i get the bow string replaced for my bow to shoot right again due to string stretch and cam timing. even if you get your bow straight today it will probably be out of tune in 2 weeks again because of string stretch. might be a tough pill for you to swallow but it is food for thought. we owe it to the animal to make sure our equipment and shooting is at it's peak when hunting. it's hard to practice shooting when a bow is screwed up or in the shop. that's what the off season is for.

PROPOSED LICENSE FEE MEETINGS
the breeze replied to Diamondbackaz's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
for $3200 i think many nr hunters will look elsewhere for there tags.. if they put in with hef they will have a $3000 guide fee tacked on to the $3200. $6200 is a ton of dough for a elk hunt. espicially since $3200 is up front and held until after the draw. the antelope does seem high for res. but what the heck if you only draw the tag every 10 yrs or so. the $5.00 app thing and the 10% cap ruling hurt the res. this should staighten things out to some extent. i do agree that the res price for cow elk is too high. there might be some reason for this. i am not sure. -

I hunt lions with hounds and believe me the lions aren't eating the spikes and the does. almost 80% of the kills i find are 80 inch plus bucks. i think the reason for this is the bigger bucks are loners and easier to sneak up on. 2 eyes 2 ears and one nose vs. a small group of does and spikes you do the math. i also think that hunters end up harvesting more spikes and weener bucks because they are easier to find in these small groups. i am sure the lions would eat a lot more dink bucks if they had 300 yard range. i bet az guide would agree that most of the kills he finds espeicially coues deer to be above avg. bucks. it's tough to pass up the smaller bucks when a guy only has a few days a year to hunt. it's hard to burn your corneas out sitting behind glass passing up the 60-70 inch bucks looking for something larger. it's hard to pass up a small buck with 1000 tags in a unit knowing the guy across the canyon from you in orange is going to dump him if you don't.

it's only 550 deeded acres the rest was leased grazing (that was and is still open to hunting). i think with less cattle in there the forage will improve meaning more deer in the short term. they are not planning on developing for a few years any how. there are some conservation groups trying to purchase the ranch so we will see. i wouldn't lose any sleep over it as we could never hunt on the deeded ranch property any how.

seriously though camo is highly over rated.
