Like title says, yesterday I had pending charges for a juniors deer tag, today those charges don't show. Anybody had this happen before?

Ha, I do use Bank of America - have they canceled them in the past for fraud? I'll give them a call to be safe

Not trying to be argumentative IA but what gets me about your argument was that it sounds like they were willing to let you re-schedule but you couldn't make it back until October. I think if you really wanted to make a re-schedule happen than you have to give up tae-kwon-do or soccer or something soon so that they know you mean business about trying to make it work. Sorry but if somebody told me they couldn't re-schedule for 3 months I would be thinking to myself that they don't really care about the trip

I'm needing to take some scouts out this weekend on a 4 mile round-trip hike where they camp overnight half way through. The issue is I need to be within cell-phone coverage for work responsibilities. Just curious if any of you have some recommendations of places we could hike/camp that are within 1.5 hours of Phoenix that fit the bill? Thanks

Yup; drawing a rifle bull your 5th choice never should have happened. I'm dying to hear the explanation you were given. . . I'm guessing it's because the motherboard literally melted trying to figure out why anybody would put early bull 3A/3C 4th choice after late 6A???

Mathematically impossible unless there was some computer "glitch". I hear these stories a lot and usually don't believe them. Would love to see a screen shot of your buddies receipt if he still had the email. Not saying impossible. . . Glitches happen. I have heard of one year when the computer "goofed" and I believe 7 people were called an given the opportunity to take a sheep tag that year or the next since they had actually drawn but were incorrectly told they hadnt

Not trying to hijack the thread but Dave I'll put a plug in for your youth camp since it came up. If you have a youth with a tag it is a great experience. My son participated last year and you guys made it such an awesome experience

Congratulations on a great tag. I had the archery hunt last year and had a lot of fun. From what I could gather the rut was down compared to some years but it was still a great time. My experience was that there were literally elk all over the unit last year. I'm sure you know a lot will move though, so scouting is mostly just to get familiar with the unit unless it's right before the hunt starts. Good luck

Yes, I know 23N was 17 points last year because I was the one who drew it. You hit the nail on the head Flatlander, I had been holding out for early rifle but with point creep it was looking like ~ 6 more years for a guaranteed tag in one of the few units I wanted. I finally decided life is too short to keep waiting for that rifle tag and put in for archery instead. No regrets at all. I had a great time. Of course, I could have killed a bigger bull if I could hunt with a rifle, but the experience was great and I got to hunt with my young sons snd get them excited about hunting elk made it perfect.
