There is no competition, pathetic liars and giant goofballs are way way out of my league.... Good luck with school, you have alot to learn... Bret M.

Thanks Bill, You are still captain of lunches for turkey season if you are up there. He only goes 14 and 3/4 inches, which books him out at 14.10-14.12 using the Arizona book, I was hoping for an honest 15 incher with this one. Oh well next year maybe I will manage to kill a big pig. Casey you are still ugly and dumb, and a pathetic liar (blaming your roomate for your idiocy) at least I am just ugly.. It is a real shame when a guy has killed 2 or 3 pigs that weigh more than your biggest deer.... Bret M.

Next time hold out for at least a 3 pointer, especially if you are going to cheat and use that silent recurve!!! Seriously though, that thing is awesome, and with a stickbow and on the ground! That rocks like REO Speedwagon!!! Bret M.

Here is a complete picture of Wayne's tremendous deer. Pat is modest, but he is one of the better whitetail hunters in the state and also one of the better taxidermists and an all around helluva nice guy. Here is another little weener buck Pat is indirectly responsible for or involved with. In this case, the shooter is kind of a goofball , but Pat is pretty cool! this one came from the late hunt shot by my buddy and chief goofball Roger Cook. These guys actually and officially know their stuff! Bret Mattausch

Thanks, I saw the 24b ram and knew it wasn't the 37A or 31/32 ram so I was wondering where else has that sort of vegetation where sheep live. Now it all makes sense. Bret M. -

Any Duck hunters near Tucson?
bullwidgeon replied to bmf1321's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
There are no ducks near Tucson because I killed them all ! Seriously though, the duck hunting can be great when the birds show up and you scout them out and pattern them. If I were you I would check out the San Rafael Valley and San Pedro Valley and areas around Wilcox. Spot and stalk is ok, but decoying a roost pond or feeding area is 1,000,000 times funner. Good luck. Bret M. -
Call in an airstrike on him. It is nice to have a helicopter in camp. Bret M.

Lark wanted you to know he searched long and hard and has finally captured the wild and wary jackassalope! The jackassalope is the one holding the antelope horns on poor Larks head. The jackassalope got the best of him! Bwaaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!! Bret M.

Lark emailed me some pictures to post. He got a new chute plane this summer and decided to do a bunch of hunting this year out of his new toy. Here is a carp he found from the air that he was able to crash land close enough to and then shoot. Apparently carp are not that smart and don't run off after a sasquatch crash lands a glider with a lawn mower engine strapped to it next to them... After that, he took some buddies to the north pole for a reindeer hunt. They didn't find any reindeer but they did find two bull elk from the new glider. After a long grueling stalk done mostly by mushing dog sleds across the tundra they got within range of these two fine bulls. Lark is 9 foot tall and 500 pounds so going by that both these bulls should easily score over 400 inches, not bad for a coveted unit 7B North Pole tag. He has gotten the glider repaired and more 2 stroke oil in the engine and is currently lost outside of Payson trying to help some buddies track down another spike elk. Hopefully he finds the secret landing strip on Hardscrabble Mesa and makes it back sometime next week so he can attempt to defend himself... Bret M.

Yeah my uncles killed one down in Pena Blanca canyon in the good old days on a middle hunt back when you could get 2 tags. It's nads were shriveled up about like raisins. I used to have a picture of it someplace, I will see if I can dig it up and scan it. It was kind of unscorable but I would say it is bigger than the one Littlebear posted. The velvet is stripped and they sawed the skullplate off and put it on a regular horn mount... Bret M.

I have seen it happen. Me "Shoot the buck on the right" Buddy "You mean the one on the right?" Me "Yeah the one on the right" KABOOM Buck on the left flops over dead. Buck on the right runs off never to be seen again.... There is always next year I guess. That's what I told him anyways... Bret M.

I watched my buddy hit one hard with my .300 WBY shooting 150 gr Hornady softpoints last year at 175 yards that cartwheeled and fell down. It was hit just behind the ribcage, high. After about 10 minutes (we were waiting a little because after the cartwheel he disapeared into some very thick brush and I wanted the shooter to stay on the gun on the tripod ready to go) the buck lifted his head up out of the grass and just sat there. We waited another 15-20 minutes and started to work our way over to him, we had no shot on him bedded, just his head. When I got about 20 feet from him he jumped up cleared a little canyon, jumped 2 fences and went from the very bottom clear to the top and went over one of the larger peaks in the Guijas in a matter of seconds, just enough time for my buddy to send 2 more shots after him. He had a little bloody red spot on his sides where the bullet went in and came out a little bigger on the side. We never found that buck and other than 4 or 5 small splotches of blood in his bed where the inital shot was, we never cut blood and we followed him all the way up the mountain, over both fence jumps and looked on the other side. Certainly a balistic tip may have put a bigger whole in that one, also a shoulder shot or any frontal bone shot woulda have killed that one dead with the bullets I had. 7 mags are fine but shot placement is everything, even when using a .458 Bret M.

Ernesto, It is just wrong to have a likeness of Lark on your wall Bret M.

Here is another picture of the little fella. I told him to hold out for a bigger one next year We cleaned house down South, they filled 3 tags and missed a good one in the process. The 3 we got were burro bucks, nothing big but it was a ton of fun and good to start whacking deer and stop passing on them after my Catalina hunt this year... Bret M.

I was supposed to go help my buddy Serna tomorrow morning for the next 4 days on his deer hunt. He helped me get my archery bull this year. He called this morning, apparently he got this one right after sunrise this morning at 330 yards with his new Tikka .270 WSM. He glassed it up yesterday while scouting and decided if he saw nothing better that afternoon he would try for it this morning. Sometimes a plan comes together. Not a bad one for his 2nd coues. Amanda and Scott he said he didn't see you guys. Hopefully you guys are having good luck too... Bret M.
