Mine has a old pic . needs to be updated -
Went out and checked the cameras and found this . I dident put in for a tag so if anyone needs any help finding one I have the place you can get one . I will auction this secret honey hole to serious bidders only

It depends on the camera you have . But I think 10 feet is to close the PIR on the camera only has about 6 feet of coverage area at that distances move it back to 20 feet and you will have about 18 feet of coverage area . this will give the camera more time to take a pic . The salt is a good idea but you have the water to stop the animal already . In areas where I dont have a tree I drive a fence post in where its needed so i get the angle I need . The only problem with this is it's easy for someone to see . Nock on wood I've been lucky so far and have had no cameras missing

Thanks for sharing guys . I think we all enjoy looking at them -
Here are some more from last year .
-
In my younger days we hunted mule deer in a area where my Grandfather had some mining clames . there were no coues deer in that area and it was a good 20 miles to where the coues were at . There are no mule deer there now and the coues deer have moved in with a pretty good number of them . I dont think the coues ran the mule deer out I think the lions did and the coues have just expanded there area

With all the talk about bows I went down to the Valley and shot a few . About 3 years ago all my archery equpment was stolen out of my truck on a hog hunt . Last year my wife bought me a bow for my birthday I shot it every day but could not make it group I worked on it quite a few times changing things and nothing changed I took it to where she bought it and they could not find anything wrong with it . went to a couple archery shops and shot a couple Hoyts and a couple Ross Bows ,PSE, and some others I cant remember there names . I came home with a new Mathews Switchback took the sight and arrow rest off my other bow and was shooting 2" groups at 30 yards in less then a hour . This thing is smooth and quite Thanks for all the talk about bows I needed a new one

Desertbull is right . this is just the start . This is a important issue next it will be $50.00 to ride your mule and $50.00 to drive your 4x4 . Then where is it going $100.00 whats next no access to the forest ? -
I use a Phantom call and it works well for me so far . it is around $269.00 for the wireless one and around a $100.00 cheaper for the one with the wire and has meny sound cards you can get fot it

Tree stand vs pop up ground blind
rimhunter replied to mulie hunter's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
last year was t he first time to use a ground blind on opening morning I had 7 deer come to water . the wind changed several times and I thought my hunt there was over . Every time I thought of leaving a deer would come in . I sat at that blind several days and had deer come in every day . most coming in from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm nothing in the morning or evening . I had a camera up befor the hunt and two nice bucks were coming in but never came in when I was there. I had to take the wife out of town this year Did not get a chance to try it again . the blind seems to work as good as the tree stands
