Another 280 AI joins the herd

That is where I would back off about .2 and see what happens. I run my 28 Nosler at about as high of pressure as I am comfortable with, and that's short of sticky bolt. That has always been a stopping point for me. -
I've taken literally tons of meat to them. Good family and he was a good kid. I'm sad to hear about this.

They've been great when I used them.

FAST .224's for Coues
firstcoueswas80 replied to ForkHorn's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I guess it's a philosophical difference. I don't like shooting minimum size caliber, cartridges, bullets for big game. Whether they be big game like our little coues deer or elk. Personally I think the 224s are fantastic for coyotes and javelina. -

Light for caliber hunting bullet vs. Heavy for caliber target bullet. How does a .257 115 VLD ar 3250 or more compare? -

Why? If speed is what you like, why not. 257 wby with a 100 @ 3400--3500 fps? -

I too have seen the Scenars in action. They're good bullets as well. -
Favorite Bullet for Coues?

I've been very pleased with the Hybrid. Accurate, great BC, and very lethal on contact. -
Gave him away. Hazen needs to go.

That would be awesome. I'd be interested in a knife too possibly.. I know a guy from Forged in Fire lives in casa grande, would be cool to have one of his knives.

With hunts quickly approaching, I recently realized that my blades need a touch-up. I unfortunately have not mastered the skill of putting a good quality edge on a knife. Does anyone know of a place or a person in Tucson who can get a couple knives to a razor sharp edge? I know that Ace near my house does them for pretty cheap, that is the route that I'm looking at going. Any experiences with that?

Still, that isnt very much weight to soak up the recoil of the 10mm!

Oh yes. Mine belonged to my grandfather as well. My dad killed his first elk with it, I killed my lion with it. It wont be going anywhere.

One of the most underrated rifles ever made.

The thought of a 29 hurts my hand. I have a 40 and it's a handfull.

Yes and yes. It is "heavy" so there is little to no recoil. -
I have sent fox and bobcat to a place called us fox and fur I believe. Everything has been wonderfully done.

firstcoueswas80 replied to GreyGhost85's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Yes. I killed a small buck several years ago that had the same thing.
