What rifle caliber is most common for coues deer hunting in AZ?
firstcoueswas80 replied to THREEDFLYER's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
I would say the most popular caliber is 28/7mm with the 6.5 caliber close behind -
All of it

My daughter has been on me for a while about getting her through hunters ed, she says she wants to hunt. Wouldn't hurt to get my wife through the course to up her BP's. This is my first time even contemplating hunters ed since the 20 years ago that I took it. (Ouch that hurt to say!) Any guidance or idea when classes are? We are in Tucson so something around here would be nice. We can travel for the field day though if need be.

firstcoueswas80 replied to azpredator@work's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I haven't read the post yet, so if this was addressed already please forgive me. Having a custom rifle built and shooting Factory ammo is like driving a Ferrari with an automatic transmission! -
Mr. No content (Patrick Daniel), since you're here to lecture us, why dont you show us what you've done in your 46 years on this earth.

firstcoueswas80 replied to coues@186's topic in Classified Ads
If you can find it, 26 nosler brass necked up works just fine too. And, I think 26 is a little more available than 28. -
Why do you go by your middle name, Patrick?
-
Are you ever going to post any kills of your own, or are you just going to sit there on your butt and talk shoot? And you talk about "no content".

Man I'm super tempted to have Adam bring these down so I can check them out.

The 2018 leftover list is now up on G&F website.
firstcoueswas80 replied to knothead's topic in The Campfire
If I recall, there are only like 150 tags for that hunt right? That takes only 15 non-residents to draw before you. That's not many, especially with all the widespread publicity coues hunts have been getting recently. -

With the non-res on the app, maybe the non resident cap had been met by the time you were pulled? -

All I know is I dont nearly drink enough water unless I'm really hitting it hard. If I'm hiking hard and sweating then I drink a lot of water. Most of my spots are only 1-1.5 miles so nothing major, which leads to me not drinking enough.
