firstcoueswas80 replied to no worries's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Just go hunt. Sounds rude but it's true. Glass and you'll find them. -

Is the elevation turret bottomed out, or are you hitting a zero stop?

I apologize, I must have missed the posting rules for posting on "your" thread. Can you please re-post the rules so nobody else offends you? I find it amusing that of ALL the crap that is posted, you pick MINE to get offended about... and yes, it WAS funny. Better watch out. He is going to message you saying he knows all about you and its going to get ugly etc. Or maybe I'm the only one he... All I did was try to make people upset and I never got a message... what kind of past do you have? No friggin clue.

Loading Barnes Bullets?
firstcoueswas80 replied to Hoss50's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Forgive me if I made it sound like a blanket statement. I was just trying to relay my experiences across five or six rifles. Every single one of them shot better at a higher pressure, higher velocity load rather than at the lower end. -

With all due respect, I don't think you're understanding correctly. I, personally mean hard for that specific cartridge. For example. In my 300 wsm they religiously shot much better at 3000 fps, than they did at 2750-2800. In my 257 wby, they shoot better at 3500, as compared to say 3100 or so. -
No problems with expansion here.... 676 and 719.

Never experienced any of that. Not bad considering my closest kill is a javelina at about 60 yards with a 28 nosler.

I remember the story of his broken arm on his sheep hunt. Changing a tire, had the truck (jeep i believe) fall and crush his arm.

Target bullets that kill animals really really well.

I'll have to look. I know I have vapor trails and whitetails.

Does everyone have their popcorn ready??

My wife, the wife of a federal law enforcement agent was selected and served on a jury. I was very surprised by that. -
I've got a busy fall. I'd be happy to prove them for a potential buyer

I've seen I think one or two of their shows, that's it. Maybe I just happend to see bad shots, but i wont watch anymore of their shows for that exact reason.

Yes! I would expect a man with your experience in the draw process to know that!

I've killed more than a few critters with TTSX, especially the 100 .257. -

I've killed a pretty fair amount of stuff with the 100 ttsx from my 257. Most stuff has been one shot, DRT. -
Nothing lighter than iron sights.

Yes. Use the 100 ttsx in the 257. You don't need heavy for caliber with the barnes. -
Best thing (short of a supressor) since sliced bread. I've used a pair the past two years. Dont worry about weight, buy the best pair possible.
