Loading Barnes Bullets?
firstcoueswas80 replied to Hoss50's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Forgive me if I made it sound like a blanket statement. I was just trying to relay my experiences across five or six rifles. Every single one of them shot better at a higher pressure, higher velocity load rather than at the lower end. -

With all due respect, I don't think you're understanding correctly. I, personally mean hard for that specific cartridge. For example. In my 300 wsm they religiously shot much better at 3000 fps, than they did at 2750-2800. In my 257 wby, they shoot better at 3500, as compared to say 3100 or so. -
No problems with expansion here.... 676 and 719.

Never experienced any of that. Not bad considering my closest kill is a javelina at about 60 yards with a 28 nosler.

I remember the story of his broken arm on his sheep hunt. Changing a tire, had the truck (jeep i believe) fall and crush his arm.

Target bullets that kill animals really really well.

I'll have to look. I know I have vapor trails and whitetails.

My wife, the wife of a federal law enforcement agent was selected and served on a jury. I was very surprised by that. -
I've got a busy fall. I'd be happy to prove them for a potential buyer

I've seen I think one or two of their shows, that's it. Maybe I just happend to see bad shots, but i wont watch anymore of their shows for that exact reason.

Yes! I would expect a man with your experience in the draw process to know that!

I've killed more than a few critters with TTSX, especially the 100 .257. -

I've killed a pretty fair amount of stuff with the 100 ttsx from my 257. Most stuff has been one shot, DRT. -
Nothing lighter than iron sights.

Yes. Use the 100 ttsx in the 257. You don't need heavy for caliber with the barnes. -
Best thing (short of a supressor) since sliced bread. I've used a pair the past two years. Dont worry about weight, buy the best pair possible.

My experienece says push them hard! Accuracy and performance benefits from speed. They work best when through bone! -
Don't lie, you can't handle the recoil that's why you're selling it.

My dad caught a 12-pounder from San Carlos 23 years ago. It Landing that fish a dorsal fin broke off in his middle finger. That piece was in his finger for about 15 years until it finally worked its way out the other side of the finger! He saw two or three different doctors about it and neither one of them really did anything to help it! -
Side note, the two game animals I've lost in my hunting career have both been shot at under 25 yards.

How about a mountain lion shot spot stock style at a distance measured in feet not yards?
-
Funny you said that dude! That's the very first thing that Brian and I discuss when we left too.

Not only does that 14 year old have more Trigger Time that almost all of us, that 14 year old has been proven to be able to outshoot most of us if not all of us in a shooting competition!
