I shot my bull, double.lung and he made it 110 yards. We waited 1 hour on the dot. Took us about 5-10 minutes to find him. By then he was already leaking some nasty gas. No guts were hit.

    Public Range Frustration

I had the same thing happened to me on the Range in Tucson by the fairgrounds for, and this is no exaggeration, dropping a pen on my table as I walked by during a cold range!Yeah I think touching the table or putting anything on it during a cold range is the worst thing you can do there...I've had same for grabbing a water bottle.I also had them yell at me for, literally having my toes ON the yellow line.... not being completely behind it on a cold range. No joke.

The absolute best thing you can do is find a place in the desert, take your bench, target and awning and shoot there.

Anyone ever up and quit a good job?

I've always said loving your job is fantastic, but you can't feed your kids or keep the lights on with love. My dad worked for the same large company for nearly 30 years and was one of their top salesmen. He got passed over for promotion after promotion yet stayed. The company was bought out and they started firing guys that had been there for 30+ years so they could bring in their own, much cheaper employees. They changed my dad's job and he simply couldnt keep up. He told then that sever times and they never cared and then let him go. Another guy who was much younger but had been there 10+ years took over his route and HE couldn't get it all done so they fired him to. I learned a lot and gained an entire new level of respect for my dad after that. He went for a while looking for a decent job and bounced around a little bit, but he was so much happier having that monkey off of his back. I was at their house the day he got let go and I remember how relieved and happy he looked, evwn though my mom and dad's main source of income was gone!
