Wife and I could be getting either of our choices!
-
Mine finally came through. There's a serious chance the wife and I drew unit 9 archery bull. We have tags number 78 and 79 for whatever hunt we through.
-
Are you guys seeing tag number by hitting "more detail"? Mine goes to a page unfound.
-
I'm thinking once I wake up, the results will be out! Can't wait to see if I drew archery 9 or late rifle 10!
-
Sure wish they'd cut tags in the lower units! The 36's are looking pretty dismal for mature deer, or so I've noticed over the past 3-5 years.

2nd Official CWT 200 Yard Fun Shoot
firstcoueswas80 replied to lancetkenyon's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I tried to shoot it today as well but had a mechanical failure with my rifle. Not too happy about that part but I should get some credit, I did hit the target at 200 yards with my XD 40! -
They are amazing. I love mine. I did just get swaro 12s, but I'm not letting my duos go! Good luck!

Sounds like COA is a socialist.

firstcoueswas80 replied to rossislider's topic in Youth Hunters
Post up a paypal, I'm sure we can get tbe funding for his license in a day or two. -
I could take this to Casa Grande, if that helps.

IF the draw was to change, which I don't mond it how it is... in my opinion there are only two options. Square BP's Flat out luck of the draw, like NM.

My son doesn't want to go Elk Hunting!!!
firstcoueswas80 replied to Big Browns's topic in Youth Hunters
If he really doesn't want to hunt, donate the tag, then force him to go and help out around camp, cook, gather fire wood etc. Let him see the appreciation of another person who might not be as blessed as he is and I'll bet he will have a different opinion next time. If not, at least you get to spend time outdoors together. Is it a youth tag? Yes. This. Kinda like making ungrateful kids donate their gifts around Christmas. -
.308 Secret Sauce??? (Loading Question)
firstcoueswas80 replied to Stallone A.'s topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Thanks Coues Sniper, Yes I have great groups with the A-Max Bullets however last season my son shot his bull elk with it. He dropped the elk in its tracks, he was flopping around for a couple of minutes so we got closer to put another round in him and he just got his footing and took off. Very Little blood (4 drops) and to make a long story short we could never find him. I feel if we had a better bullet like a Berger or ELD-X the initial devastation would have been greater and we would have never lost that bull. I have shot many Coues Deer with the A-max with no problems but an Elk is a lot bigger. I just never want to have that happen again...That sounds like a shot placement issue, not a bullet issue. Yes I agree maybe 2 or 3 inches lower and we would have never had that problem. It was my sons first big game hunt at 12 yrs old, He probably caught him in the back strap and stunned him for a while. However there are better hunting rounds than the A-Max and every little bit counts. All he needed was 2 extra seconds... dang, that's a bummer! Sorry to hear that for your boy. Did your son dust himself off and get back in the game? -
I use my Vantage West card, payment posted and cleared yesterday.

Does Taylor offer lessons? -
I agree. Man they can get up and down the floor. That joshua Jackson kid is the best player I've seen in the tournament, at least his game yesterday was.
-
After watching the game yesterday, Kansas is looking really good.
