Best rifle cartridge for open terrain - Unit 21 Whitetail hunt
firstcoueswas80 replied to Desert Rat's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Put a brake on that 2506, load up near max ttsx or accubond loads, and fill an ark. Quarter bores far beyond what they should. -
Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to the bank Vowell goes...

firstcoueswas80 replied to n2horns's topic in The Campfire
Just entered for the coolers and a couple for the binos. Although, I never win raffles! -

Yep. Me.

Gladly. The 110 accubond gets you to 600 with no issues. The 257 caliber doesn't have the bullet selection that the .007" larger 264 caliber has, but there are wonderful hunting options. TTSX, accubond, scirocco II, Berger, Partition, Aframe, ballistic tip, etc. None of them have crazy high BC's, but they will get you there.

Great place to purchase guns.... Buds Guns
firstcoueswas80 replied to Chris's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I really like Buds Gun Shop/Buds Police supply. They have always done me well, great to talk to on the phone. For instance, I called one day and said Me:"i dont have time to go through your webpage, but this is what I want. I want the cheapest, 4" Smith and Wesson M&P at LEO pricing you have." Customer service rep: " I know what you want, your total is XXX, Whats your account info"? Me: "Its XXXXX" Customer service: "Your FFL is on file, assuming you want it sent to the same one, and paying the same way, you'l have the gun in 3-5 days." Me: "Thank you, have a good day" Took all of 5 minutes, if not less. -
i think tomorrow will be the day. I just logged on, and the mid winter results are no longer up, just bonus points.

I'd like to see proof of that.

It look at one of the light .308 TTSX bullets. Fantastic bullet for 500 and in, plus they work amazingly well Pushed hard.

I'm hoping this week. It seems this draw has ran very smoothly, especially the part where they drew my buddy and I for December tags!

The Smith didn't shoot any accuracy proof groups, he just handed it over to you? That seems odd to me?
