    Beanie Question

Yes take it off. when I start hiking I'm freezing, about 100 yards later I'm good. I usually hike in the least amount of clothing possible.

Any one reload 300 H&H mag?

Look at pictures of the two, they're not even close. The hh has a very minimal shoulder, the wby has a round shoulder.
  13. I've killed tons of stuff with the tsx/ttsx. I'll tell you this, they work great! They do tend to work better when they connect with bone.

    Wildcats?

Not to mention he missed in the first quarter. Just a bummer u if a can't get a good kicker. ever.

    Guides-and using them

You can't replace experience. No amount of summer scouting can ever replace the amount of experience a guide/outfitter has in an area. Knowing what and where the animals go after opening day is, imho, what a hunter pays for.

My unit 9 bull **New pictures and story added**

She's already got a $8,000 ring she hardly wears!
  17. I'll do a complete write up when I get to my computer, so this will have to work for now. Snuck in on this bull as he was bugling like crazy, he stepped out just enough at 48 yards, hit him good but a touch low. He stopped again at 55 and the slick trick found both lungs. We waited an hour, and 100 yards later there he was!

My unit 9 bull **New pictures and story added**

Thanks everyone. It was a special hint for sure. I want to give one of the ivorys to my wife, but don't want to spend $500+ on a custom ring. Any ideas?

    ** Alpen 788 20-60x80

I had alpen binos when I was about 18, and they were very respectable, especially for the price.

    Wildcats!

I cringe at a high ranking, they always fold when they get above about #20.
  22. They are lethal. They usually make a nasty mess, especially if shoulder or ribs are contacted.

    Remington 700 BDL Mountain LSS

Looking to sell the first rifle I ever bought myself I hate to sell it, but I hate staring at it in the safe and not getting used. I haven't shot or used it in 8 years. I did, however kill my first two coues deer, and one cow elk with it. It is a Remington Model 700, BDL mountain rifle, LSS. These are no longer produced and hard to find. It is a 30-06, and shoots right around MOA. The Leupold is a Vari-X III 3.5-10x50, stainless sitting in Leupold bases and rings, stainless as well. There are two small nicks in the stock, one is from a mishap with a rock, the other is from the Dremel when I floated the barrel. Both are minor but are there. I will include all ammo I have (unknown quantity, or what rounds I have, but I would guess 40 or so rounds), the dies and the brass. I would like $1025 shipped to your FFL, $1000 FTF I have pictures, but they are just cell phone pictures.
