-
Just picked up a nice, shooter grade 686, now I need some ammo... Cant find any locally. Any body have some 38 or 357 ammo? Mostly looking for plinking stuff to burn up, but wouldn't mind a box of 357 mag JHP/Defensive stuff just cause.

Who hunts coues with a 30-06
firstcoueswas80 replied to ultramag's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Bryan, Killed my first two deer with a 30-06. Like we chatted about in my living room.. With todays technology and target turrets etc using a 30-06 is not a big deal at all. Load some 150 or 165 Accubonds and have at it! -

I would like the freezer. -
Scouting for JimmyC's December hunt last year, we were driving down Summit Motorway and came across a slow moving (road hunting) truck with a young girl on one of her first deer hunts.... Dad let us pass, and not 100 yards down the road stood a little buck at a waterhole that looked at us. I waved them up and by the time they got there the buck was gone. Kicked out an alleged 115" buck to a guy while I was packing out a buck I killed several years ago... Course, he missed, but probably would not have have seen him if we were walking that ridge.

Nobody re-barreled my rifle, it is all original as it came from the factory with a 3-9 Simmons on it. -
Yea go ahead and try that when a LEO asks "May I search your vehicle" say no and your in for a long wait for a warrant at the least! I said no to this once ended up incarcerated for "observation" 72hrs , vehicle towed and impounded.... And the LEO asked politely and my polite answere was "No absoulty not sir I have done nothing wrong!".... "Rights" there is allways a way to circumvent them! And an experienced LEO knows them ! Then you should have contacted a lawyer because with out PC that is a very clear violation of the 4th amendment.

Magnum primers in a standard cartridge?
firstcoueswas80 replied to standman's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
The magnum primers will cause higher pressure because there are more gas/flames igniting the powder. If you try it, you should reduce your load... I have some non-magnum primers you can have... A couple hundred. -
Check your inbox, I sent you a message yesterday.

Yup! I think so! Nope! A close second! The powder I posted today got an Ill take it in 4 minutes! Quick typers today!

Hard to pass up on a sheep hunt to go coues hunting... Can't say I blame him!
-
Asking is one thing (same as asking 'may I search your car), it is a lawful, valid (in some cases) question and no way shape or form deserves a rude answer. Demanding, or anything of that nature is another thing. Remember Brent, you as a citizen have rights, but BP/LEO's as officers of the law have rights too.

You can tune the trigger no problem, mine was just like a rem 700 trigger and breaks clean. -
Are they back? I thought they vacated the area for the last few years?

Man, only 83 tags left for the hunt I put in for! Hopefully, when I call them in the morning they will have good news for me!
