does a new rifle really need to be broken in?
firstcoueswas80 replied to apache12's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Oneshot has a great point. Every firearm (rifle, shotgun, handgun etc) shouldb e cleaned and oiled before its first time being fired. I break my barrels in, just personal experience has said yes to do so. -

Going through my old stuff today, I found 32 loaded rounds from when I had my 270wsm. The load is 63.5 grains of Hogdon 4831sc, Federal GMM215 primer, Winchester brass with a COAL of 2.892" this load produced groups in the .1's and .2's with a MV of 3250, and held 1/2 MOA out to 600. As stated, there are 32 loaded pieces, as well as 17 once fired pieces of brass for a total of 49. $40 and its yours.

JimmyC, JLB and i have been out here enduring the rain, wind, clouds, mud etc. we FINALLY saw that big ball of burning gas today and made the most of it! Less then 5 minutes into our glassing for the day we had this buck bedded just short of 1000 yards. Jimmy and Joey made great stock and Joey let him have it. His first buck and man read he pumped, as we all were! The crown was flowing tonight!

firstcoueswas80 replied to Bravo's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
You didn't really hear it from the horses mouth. You heard that they were pulled and posted that as truth. You then heard/posted they were pull and send to other, busier stores. HUGE difference there. -

I definitely agree with this, but that only works if someone reads the entire thread, not just the first post and takes it for truth, ya know? -

Amanda, I think you should nuke this thread! Spreading false rumors about companys that have done nothing wrong and still are 100% support of the 2nd amendment, and this site. -
