You're right, I was thinking about the MRX. My fault! Like you mentioned, Barnes bullets do seem to like a jump. When I started reloading for my 257, the trick was to shorten the COAL to get more of a jump, and accuracy followed.

I'm not a ballistic tip fan, but that should be a very good load, or course depending on accuracy.

Has this ever happened to one of your dogs?
firstcoueswas80 replied to bobbyo's topic in The Campfire
When I was in college, I didn't come home for the first three months. When I did come home, I said hi to my mom and walked out back to see my dog. At the time he was something like 9 or 10 years old but in good health. I walked outside and he didnt come running up. I found him laying about 15 feet away on the porch dead. My mom had said she put him out side not 15 minutes before I came home and was telling him "Bubba is gonna be home soon" and she said he got all excited and was jumping around and barking excitedly. Then, 15 minutes later when I got home he was dead! -

Hard to compare a 5-2 record when they're schedule has not nearly matched the schedule that U of A has had. It all comes down to Nov. 23.. Who cares what their respective schedules are until that game.

Who's was it? Sportsman for wildlife plate with a wedding going in across the street.
-
The wedding across the street was mine.... I had no spare time or i would have.

That right there (bolded part) is the backbone to this argument. This is basically government doing what they want because they want. Not because of need.

Funny you ask that.... Shes due in April This will be my first, her second. She has a 7 year old little girl, whom was in the pictures of the elk hunt we got engaged on. She was our flower girl.

We were in Greer, at the Johnson cabin. There was a CWT member in the cabin directly across the street. I posted that I had seen his truck/sticker but never responded. I wondered if someone would catch the camo on the veil! Her flowers were wrapped in camo, my vest/pocket square were camo, and our table runner was camo. It was awesome! Oh, and her garter was camo/hunter orange

Eating rabbits?
firstcoueswas80 replied to POB's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
I've always heard not until after the first hard freeze to kill all the parasites etc, but I think if you cook them long enough (like in a stew) then everything is ok. I have eaten jacks and cotton tails and I like them both. Jacks, if I recall correctly are a little tough and chewy but had good flavor. -
I think there must be some sort of toxin or something on them because yes, they do sting!

I've had a few shin daggers go to the bone. That SUCKS! But, thats part of hunting in the desert, everything wants a piece of your flesh!
-
Very nice! Where did those cows come from and what rifles were used in the hunt?
-
'Not trying to figure out your 'secrets', but just on observation. Do you have your cams on a trail/saddle? I like the second picture, almost didnt even see the bedded buck in it!

1st time for everything

I have the same rifle in 300wsm and I used it in Africa in 2010 and it worked GREAT! Solid gun, pretty, and functional. -
Currently, I have a AFE stage II intake/filter on my truck and I like it, but recently had to replace turbo. This was under an aftermarket warranty so of course, they tried to tell me that the aftermarket intake/filter system was the culprit. My dad gave me his factory intake system and some how, it is missing the very bottom elbow that goes straight to the turbo. If anyone has an entire system, knows where I can find one or better yet has the bottom elbow I'd be interested in buying it.

Happy birthday Amanda! I saw 3 different stickers this past week in Globe/greer/pinetop!

I dont think the LRX really caught on. I havent really researched them too much, but from what I remember they dont really offer too much that the TTSX doesnt. A little higher BC and A LOT higher price. I'd shoot the 140 TTSX instead of the LRX.

Anybody?

Awesome awesome buck! Great job!
-
You sure about that? Was it the tag price or the $7.00 app fee. I dont think cards have ever hit the week after the application deadline. Credit cards got hit for the $7.50 as soon as one applied for the hunt(s).
-
Nope, wasn't bill. Was someone with it looked like two little girls.

Of course the amount of Coues deer killed from 2003 has doubled. Look at how many more people are hunting Coues deer now. This site has gone from a few hundred to a few (or more) thousand. Of course the number of animals killed have increased. More hunters in the field, more stuff is going to die. Simple as that. To blame that on baiting is ludacris, and unsupported.
