As of recent, I have changed alot... Drink nothing but diet sodas (no full flavor sodas), not much or any beer, still working on my diet but I go to the gym about 3-4 times a week. I currently am lifting heavy, so my weight hasn't dropped, but my pants/shirts are fitting better and I have noticed my strength coming back. For anyone who wants to lose weight quick, look at the HCG diet. It sucks, its not meant for long term, and it can be expensive but it works like a charm. The problem is, coming off of it and keeping the weight off. I lost 40 pounds on it... Then gained 45 back in the following months.

Good looking buck. A little narrow, but some nice eyeguards!

LOTS of predators in 36a as well. I have killed probably 50 or so coyotes from that unit. Both from the Sasabe side and the Arivaca side.

36B Hunt starting Nov 30th
firstcoueswas80 replied to dqinphx's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
I've camped alone several times, but always with a good sidearm, and a good dog. Never had an issue. -
Dont be fooled. That is Jake with his Sunday best on... And his helmet his Dr. suggested he wear.

I can vouch first hand for what Coues7 is saying. When I shot my antelope last year (roughly 2000 feet higher than Tucson) it took me 3 shots to put the goat down, at a measly 370 yards. Elevation plays a big role.

Scope Magnification for Variable Scopes
firstcoueswas80 replied to sjvcon's topic in Long Range Shooting
I had a 6.5-20 one time... For three days. Never even shot the gun with it. At the time, I didnt care for it. Currently, I prefer the 4.5-14x44 Zeiss scopes, but a 6.5-20 could be useful to me in the future, as my closest shot over the past few years has been 296 yards, which I dialed my scope to the 8x or so marker. -
Its on page two of this thread.

firstcoueswas80 replied to SunDevil's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Speed isn't what it's all about. Iffin you're wanting a 100-110 grain bullet going 3500fps or so get a 257wby. -
good quality light weight rain gear
firstcoueswas80 replied to naturegirl's topic in Other Hunting Gear
Actually, the stuff that I have is good stuff, just because it's not 'designer stuff' like Kuiu or Sitka doesnt mean its not good stuff, but thanks for coming out. Since I live and hunt in Southern Arizona 99% of the time, it doesn't rain on me much but the two times I have used it it has been great. -
Dont you work for G&F Tyler?! You can call any region office and they will be able to tell you, I called Candice at the Tucson office 3 days in a row, by the final time I called all she needed was my birthday.

Two Javelina Bag Limit (under some circumstances)!
firstcoueswas80 replied to 1uglydude's topic in Javelina
And according to the WM's in the field, there should NOT be as many tags as get allocated every year. The commision approves that, not the guys who have boots on the ground, and first hand data from the field. -

Anybody used a SwingBlade knife before
firstcoueswas80 replied to az41mag's topic in Other Hunting Gear
I bought a combo a few years ago of a Outdoor knife and bone saw. I absolutely love the knife. It is sharp, its held an edge etc. I have and use a piranta, but I only use it for skinning/caping. I have a awesome Charles May knife for skinnging/quartering etc, basically all the field work. -
Try the federal premium with the 140 accubond. My 270 is the only rifle I do not reload for (I dont shoot it often), but I dont reload for it because there is no way I could better the factory load! I have shot sevral (probably 5 or more) groups that I could cover with a dime at 100 yards with that load. And the Accubond is a GREAT bullet at that speed!
