Time for a visit up here I think, Larry! Ive got a .243, put a muzzle brake on it and he should be ok!
-
Wow that is ridiclious! 7 out of 8 years?! That has to be some sort of modern record! I had a buddy when I was up at NAU that him, his dad, and brother drew early archery bull tags something like 5 years in a row? Of course, out of all of those years I think they killed one, maybe two bulls.
-
What's this tag?? My friend drew it and said it was a new hunt for this year. Muzzleloader! TJ I believe there are leftovers for that hunt as well...

Looking for help with a GREAT problem
firstcoueswas80 replied to mtn-memories's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Are they the same weapon or is the elk tag muzz/archery? Definitely keep both weapons in the truck. If you have a friend with you, maybe have him carry the rifle (make sure he has a lion tag) and you carry the muzz or bow. I would try and hunt an area that has both animals in close proximity. -
Like I posted in the other thread... Patience grasshoppas.

That sounds like a blast. I'll have to look into getting all that gear for my XD-40 and I'll have to round up some buds and get after it! -
need info on leftover tags
firstcoueswas80 replied to 270wsm's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Drop it off by hand if at all possible. From my understanding, they will NOT accept it if it is there early. -

Is it a moving course or how do the courses run usually? Seriously thinking about taking my XD-40 and having a go at it! -

That sounds fun! How many rounds of ammo are needed for the class/course? -

What are the details on this shoot? With my new shift, I am usually off Tuesday/Wednesday (or can be at least) and theres no such thing as a bad time sending lead down the range.. -
So the competition should be off of the time its officially on the site right? If so than I really am a damnn genius!

Two Javelina Bag Limit (under some circumstances)!
firstcoueswas80 replied to 1uglydude's topic in Javelina
To this date I still think about my last javelina hunt and how much fun it was with good friends. I greatly enjoy hunting them as well. The herd must be doing well for someone like me to be able to find them, as glassing those little stink pigs usually kicks my but. Personally, I don't all out agree with the upped bag limit. I feel (without doing an actual study) that the herd is where it needs to be and possibly doubling the allotted amount of animals taken would have a negative effect on the herd. Especially considering I do not believe most people would take their two from different herds. If you know where a herd is and how to hunt them, it tends to not be that difficult to fill a tag. Don't get me wrong, if it passes, I will get two tags, I just don't feel personally that its the best idea. -
POST PICS OF YOUR RELOADING SETUPS
firstcoueswas80 replied to AxisWorks LLC's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Im embarassed to post mine! Its about 3'x3' and messy as all get out.. BUT, I know where everything is! Every once in a while my dad will mess with my stuff and "clean it up" (reloading bench is at there house... Don't ask me why I haven't moved it up to my house...) and then I can't find a damnn thing! -
If you guys go to the furs the date thread, you will flatly see some genius on page one guessed the 25th (for those of you whom are slower than the rest, I would be the genius in question)

firstcoueswas80 replied to kazpilot25's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
True that! I have 0 patience as it is, but I wont bitchh about AZGFD until they produce the results AFTER the deadline they have stated. As far as I am concerned, they are "early" if the come out Aug. 9 or before! -

Leupold Gold Ring Boone & Crocket HD 20X60X80
firstcoueswas80 replied to wardsoutfitters's topic in Optics and tripods
I havent tried this particular model, but when I have looked through Leupold spotting scopes I have not been impressed. I love their scopes, but I have not been pleased with thier larger optics. I would look at the Vortex Hd.
