gut it, skin it, cool it and pas it over to me! When I would cook the lion I killed, I would cook it just like anything else. Roasts and steaks. One thing I did notice though, if the lion came off the grill before it was done, it would have a off smell to it, and would taste not so good. Put it on the grill for a few more minutes and it was some of the best game meat I have ever had!

Look at something in the 25 claiber.... 257 wby for example. I love mine and have used it to take African game animals, and my little brother shot a pretty decent sized cow elk with it last year. Shoot the 100 TTSX and stuff dies. The 270 wsm is a great round, but it has a snappy recoil. For your 300 wsm, I would look heavily at the 168 TTSX I killed a dozen animals in Africa with it and they all died quickly.

I wouldnt classify a 270wsm as a "kick" rifle. But more of a "snappy rifle" -

Handgun Bullet Limit
firstcoueswas80 replied to trophyhnter's topic in Handgun Hunting for Coues Deer
See, camo isn't needed for pigs whether it be 20 rounds, rapid fire from a hand gun, or rifle..... -
I'm on my first cup of coffee, but I don't see a price?

That looks awesome! A caribou is on my bucket list for sure. Where are the shots of the caribou that were killed? -
My ex was a member at Desert Schools, and she never had a problem with them, neither did any of her family. Now a days, it seems credit unions are the best way to go. I have been nothing but please with Vantage West. The refinance my truck and my Cabelas credit card, drastically dropping the APR on both.

If you'll split them up, Ill take the Trophy Hunter, and Outwest 2.... Already have the other two.

I bet there will be allot of negative reviews as far as accuracy goes. Shooting light rifles takes very proper form and allot of people think that a 5 pound gun can be man handled like a 8 pound gun. -
I'm on my phone, but don't see any hair in it,

Coach, You are correct, but a 270 or 300 wsm in a 4lb gun would kick like a mule on steroids! Plus, if they do indeed offer it in 280 AI, that would be a wicked rifle! -

A montana in a bob would be a super sweet little light mountain rifle! -
Kimbers new Mountain Ascent
firstcoueswas80 replied to Couzer's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
That is a SUPER light, EXPENSIVE factory rifle.... But, I feel they need to introduce it in more than a .308.... As far a short actions go, the .308 has became basically obsolete in the past decade. Im not saying it wont get the job done but... -

Looks good! Its not over powering, but definitely adds some color back into them. I used some Birchwood-Casey Tru Oil on a mule deer shed I found a few years ago. I was too liberal with the oil and it really turned them a very un-natural color, your way looks good.
