IMHO, the best tripod out there is no longer made. Velbon Chaser series. I am as tall as you, and can use it in just about any seated position, but not standing. But its great, light enough to be easy to carry yet stable enough in the winds.

Nice set of quads for sure, cant go wrong with anything from big Red. We have a 1999 and a 2006 and they are awesome. Good quads at a fair price!
