    Calling with my old man

Paint job is pretty neat isn't it! I think the camo on the gun is what allowed me to kill this coyote. With out it, I might not have killed her. Thanks to the artist, its a killin machine now.

    Three bulladors left

Not a fan of bulldogs, or pit bulls? Because breeding of bulldogs (unless American bulldogs) is not common and quite labor intensive (or can be).

Hunting boots: what's good and what isn't?

About a year and a half ago (before deer season, 2010) I bought a pair of Kenetrek Hardscrabble Hikers. Ended up being a really good thing as they were new and stiff, and I was hunting with a type II sprained ankle. Those boots kept my foot squared away enough for me to hunt everyday of the hunt. This past year, I wore them at work alot to break them in and soften them up and they were great! This past December I hiked more than I usually do and they were great! My feet are pretty sensitive and these boots have been great! They are not cheap, but they are well worth it!

    Three bulladors left

They were accidental, but as just a coincidence they are a 'breed'. They are not a registered breed, yet are along the lines of a labradoodle, maltipoo, etc etc. Not necessarily a designer hybrid, but a breed that has been purposely bred for temperment etc. Both parents are 55-60 pounds, I would expect that these pups will end up in the same area size/weight. The largets pups are currently 6.4 pounds, and the smallest one is 4.8 pounds. Both parents are gentle with my fiances 6 year old daughter, not an aggresive bone in their bodies, but both bark and run to the front door when it rings or someone knocks. http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/b/bullador.htm I have both parents on site, and you are more than welcome to come see the parents, play with the pups etc.

    Best Adventure of 2011

You should see her when shes dolled up.... Its a good thing I have a big....... Paycheck. Here we all are, the next night headed out to dinner/drinks to celebrate with my parents. We didn't tell my mom, we decided to let her notice the big asss, shiny diamond on Sarahs finger. Well, my mom never noticed to Sarah finally told her at about midnight that night. We went out to dinner the next night, and I teased Sarah about that being our engagement party!

    Best Adventure of 2011

For me, thats an easy one! My brothers elk hunt. Starting from the opportunity for the hunt to be over within minutes of it starting, and then moments later getting my brother his first close quarters (less than 100 yards) of a SCREAMING bull and cows in thick cover. I'll never forget his excitement, as the kid doesnt get too excited for anything but he was pupmed after that. Also, driving to our spot in a early season blizzard, and pulling out a stuck truck, and then the next morning him, myself, my dad, my now fiance and her daughter following two trucks into the unit and us all hitting the same ice patches and getting loose. Then, Cory later in the day missing a couple of cows and thinking he was staying home that afternoon... Him deciding to not stay home that afternoon, shooting his cow (again, his excitement and pride level sky high) and then me making probably the biggest life changing decisions of my lifetime... Asking Sarah to marry me, and her accepting! That was definately the biggest/best adventure of my life, and one of if not the best day of my life. These pictures have been posted before, but I'll do it again.

    Monster Archery Coues

That buck is flat out awesome. Double droppers, great eyeguards, amazing beams, just solid everywhere, and then the double droppers to boot?! I think the coolest part is his beams... Not only because they almost touch, but I love how long they are and turn up after the G3. An absolute dream buck for sure. I dont know if I would ever hunt again after killing a buck like that..... Yeah, I probably would...

    UofA / ASU new hires

But what was the score of the U of A Vs. ASU football game?
  17. Filled my tag yesterday at high noon. Glassed up this buck feeding in the shade. Looked like he was a stud.... Kinda jumped the gun. Saw and shot at a buck the day before that looks just like him with about 12" more horn. When I saw him I thought it was the same 105+ buck that I missed.... Anyways, 525 yards, one shot and the 257 wby and 100 TTSX smoked him. He dropped and rolled about 75-100 yards down the hill. Special thanks to JLB for taking half of the buck! Also, very special thanks to Brian, Cody, Sergio, and Sean. Couldnt have done it with out you guys Not the 100+ that I was looking for, but 93 5/8". Passed on probably 6-8 bucks that were bigger than him in search of the 105"er. Found him, and missed him. I'll tell all that later one.

    Archery hunter from Florida?

I dropped my buck off at WGP yesterday and when I walked in there was a MONSTER of a coues buck there.... 121" HEAVY horned 4x4 with awesome bladed eyeguards! He said it was shot at 30 yards, with a LONG BOW by a guy from Florida. Said he was going after the other one that was just as big that was running with this one. Does anyone know who it was? I wanted to take some pictures, but out of respect for the hunter I didnt, but let me tell you, this is flat out one of the most impressive bucks I have ever seen! He was tall, heavy, 13 6/8" inside spread.... Just an over all dream buck!

    Dryer Sheets for Gnats ?

While reloadong during summer months at my parents house in Tucson, I have stuck them in the back of my socks and it tends to work.... My parents have a 165 'pond' in the backyard and there are mosquitos everywhere. When I reload I usually wear high socks or sweatpants. I don't have to do that anymore as using dryer sheets actually does work.

    Best December Unit

Two people here have the right idea. The first is Ernesto, with whatever unit you can get a tag for. And the second is Sundevil.... About 5 years ago, when our game management took a turn for the worse. Quoting "opportunity over quality", the December hunts, and all hunts in general took a serious downfall. With the enlarged number of hunters afield, and an extra hunt added in there the quality and amount of bucks walking around has steadliy decreased. I just concluded a succesful December hunt in a unit I know well.. My dad, family friend and I had this tagfe a few years ago and man what a difference! My dad killed his best buck (85") the first evening, I shot a buck (in the head) that went in the 90's on my third day, and mhe family friend shot his best buck, a low 90's buck in a whooping 12 minute hunt. With high hopes and a patient trigger finger, I made it to the field this year. It took me 3 days to finally put horns on a deer. I had seen atleast 85-90 deer before seeing my first inch of antler. Not what I would call a great buck to doe ratio. The fact is, in most units 2500+/- other hunters have walked all around the unit it, and shot at and killed a lot of deer. Ga$e and fish commission doesn't see this as a problem, just a very large pay check for them. But, on the other hand you do have 23 days to hunt, (possibly) much cooler weather. (I was hunting in freezing sleet to mid 70* temps) and the VERY slim chance of rut.. Most likely some pre rut. That being said, give me a December rifle tag in my favorite unit every year, and I'd be a happy camper.
