I am a fan of the Spitz Dill or the Spitz Chili Lime. I chew them at 3-4 in the morning driving home from work

T/C icon vs. Savage

If your stuck on the weather shile version... Well, first of all why are you set on something with an advanced weather coating? For Arizona, it is not needed.. Just take care of your guns if/when they get moist and all will be fine. However, if you are demanding something with the weather shield, I would go a Remington 700 XCR. -
Weston, with that dog being double tapped and falling where she was... I dont think she had any sort of argument on how the sights worked!

Once you give them an inch, they will try and take a mile.

First off, thats one heck of a friend... Keep that in your memory bank! Second, try Flitz.

I also use a shotgun w sights at work.... Have checked it out for duty carry exactly 1 time. Also, my 870 is a dedicated varmint rig. Side saddle, camo, extra tight choke, pistol grip, single bead sight. As stated, not many animals live when that single bead lands on them. Ask jake, he will tell ya!

Bobcats and mtn. lions are good eating! Meat has the color of a quail breasts. However I don't eat no coyotes...especially when you know what they'll eat (anything). Did you know that in AZ since they are classified as big game animals you HAVE to bring out the meat? Yep, check the regs, when we killed a in 18B ( I called it in, my brother shot it) a few years back I boned it out and the folks at Region III asked to see the meat when we took the lion in. One of my Strip deer hunters (archer) a few years ago arrowed at cat at a water, and when we took it in for the mandatory inspection, they asked again to see the meat. If you don't have it, you might have an issue...I take photos of the boned out carcasses just to show the G&F folks that I did bone it out. I'm telling you lion is awesome! But just like anything you got to take care of it, skin quickly and cool it out, and package just like any other meat. Cook slow.. Don Martin AWO I wouldn't say cat meat is awesome (If I had the choice between elk and cat, I'd pick elk every time), but it's good. It does have a distinctive taste that is impossible to describe because nothing else quite tastes like it. Bill Quimby Funny you would say that, Bill. A few years ago when I had meat from my lion there was a CWT get together down in 36b... I made stew that had both elk and lion meat in it. I wouldnt tell anyone what the white meat in the stew was until after everyone was done... All the members raved about it until they found out it was lion... THEN they didnt like it... Funny how that works, isnt it!

True, you cant bring any of the meat back... But it goes to a much better cause being left over there feeding people who cant afford or have the means to buy their own meat. Plus, get a good taxidermist and your trophies will bring a grin to your face every time you look at them.

Hope the hunters like em!

how to get in shape for shed hunting
firstcoueswas80 replied to copenhagenGDIB's topic in Shed Hunting
I cant believe no one has said this yet... So I'll state the obvoious.... Date some one fat and slow, like me! Take my advise with a grai of salt (minus the above advise) as I am a big dude.. Always have been and always will be BUT I have always been able to run, hike, etc better than most my size. Like Youngbuck said, anything to get your heartrate up for any lenght of time. When I was trainging to go into the academy I would run about a mile and a half or so hard. When that got to easy, I started running with a camelback on... Then I added weight to the camelback... By the time I went to the academy I was running with my back pack on, 25 lbs worth or weight and still running the mile and a half in under the time needed to pass the academy... At the academy I finished 6th in my class on the run... All I really do now is run on the treadmill with a slight incline... 2.5-3 for 20-25 minutes and it whoops my arse right fine. -
