Are we talking wing shooting/trap shooting or predator shooting here........ My shotgun has a front bead and very few animals have had the bead on them and lived. Single bead works juuuussstttt fine for predators.

I think Scumdevils hatred for U of A has to do with him being rejected to get into the school...Poor baby. I remeber the last time I went to Tempe to see a U of A, ASU game... The Scumdevil fans TRIED to be rude, run their mouth all that jazz, but oh yes, U of A beat them so they couldn't. Based on the above post, I see ASU being in LAST place.... I know I went to NAU and didnt graduate and my reading levels aren't that high, but Chris is that correct? Maybe your edumacation from ASpeeewwwwww can clear the mud for me? Oh, and before you again bash on me for being a U of A fan and not going there, I will again tell you I chose NAU because they had my major (Parks and Recreation Management)

Tj, I dont bird hunt enough to get a hunting dog. Just looking for another pet. I already have my two boys, just looking for an addition. I still put on my pants and my ....... are still attached.

Short version: When I found out my grandmother had passed Thanksgiving morning I knew my hunt would be dedicated to getting a buck in her memory. I succeded last night at 5 pm. Matt, Larry and I found this buck and another one in the morning. Larry and I moved in on him but he eluded us for the morning. In the evening we went in a different way, a lot closer. Within 5 minutes I had them both bedded, 291 yards. Once he stood up, the .257 wby and 100 TTSX dropped him right back into his bed, dead as a door nail. Larry got it on video and I will expand on the story in a while, just a few pictures:

One of my best days calling for sure! My buddy Travis and I met at 6am this morning headed out to a place that I was graciously given keys to and it has not disappointed at all! (Thanks again Cody!) Travis has never been calling and hasnt done much hunting so I wanted to get him something. First stand, I sit on the down wind side with my shotgun and I see legs coming. I ready myself and see flashes of the dog behind a bush. I tell Travis where it is and see if he can get a bead on it. He cant, that dog gets away. On the second stand, we walk over a ridge with a old two track on it and set up. I am again set up down wind with the shotgun and he has the rifle. It is more open on his side so I hope something will come towards him. About 10 minutes in, I see ears and I instantly think man that looked like bobcat ears... They were headed my way. Not slow, but not fast. I look to Travis and say don't move, something is coming in on this side. I see the cat as he walks out of the bush, right towards me. At this time he is probably 45 yards away kind of behing some brush but about 1/2 exposed. I have the bead on him and am waiting for him to come in... Well, he decides to stop, I think just to check stuff out but I drop the hammer on him anyways and he collapses at the shot. No twitching just down! I just up and yell bobcat and run down there. Big ole pretty male! On the next stand, we drove down the road up to some hils with some good rocks. Figured a fox would come out. When we sit down, (this is where the fun was, well other than the bobcat) I start calling and about 10 seconds into it a herd of javelina step out onto the hill about 225 yards away. I tell Travis watch this... I switch the Foxpro to Baby Pig Distress and here they come... On a string! It takes them a fex minutes to get there but the first one gets there hair on end all puffed up and walks around like he is big and bad. He gets so close he sees Travis and runs off (Close, but nothing yet). Another minute or so later here comes 3 more... The big boar runs around the tree the call is in 3 times, stops looks around and runs off (about 3 yards from Travis). THEN come 5 more... They are literally running everywhere. When they decided they cant find the ruckus and it is time to leave they scatter and one runs literally about 2-3 FEET from Travis. It was headed right towards him until the last minute. (Travis is on the SWAT team, and I knew he was uncomfortable when the safety on the rifle clicked off.) I had to eventually stand up and shoo the pigs off all while still having the caller going. Well, I looked up and a coyote was walking along the hill at about 200 yards.. He stopped and I put the AR on him and shot and he went down. I could tell he wasnt hit too bad but he was still laying there. I sent another his way and he was kinda behind the rock and I hit that. He jumps up and takes off running... Somehow, I shoot this coyote, on the run about 225 yards and he does a cart wheel stone dead! I couldnt belive it! It was an awesome day, lots of fun!
