I have actually found a total of 5 bullets in my hunting career. The first was a .308 Sierra Gameking from about 75 yards. Passed through the heart and found it on the opposite side. No pix and dont know where it is. Recovered a bullet from a Coues deer, put it on top of the ice chest and my dad flung it open and never did find it. Recovered a Accubond from my December buck. .270 wsm from about 35 yards. I think something like 62% retention. Think I have a picture. Recovered two TTSX from Africa. One is 167 grains, the other is 156.

Why do people shy away from Zeiss 15x60's?
firstcoueswas80 replied to GSPMan's topic in Optics and tripods
I used the Zeiss 15x60's for a few years and I didnt have a problem with them at all. They were nice, but in all honesty they dont hold a candle to my Duovids. -
My old man and I would be in for sure!

The Best Cuts -
IF I were you, I would start by jumpin on that 7mm rem 700 ADL in the classifieds. That is a awesome price, and the caliber is a dam good one. Being accurate to 1000 is quite a feat. Thats a LONG ways and to be done correctly takes some high dollar, specialized gear. A regular old plane jane rifle cant do that.

7mag is one of the best donor caliber/actions there is! Thats what my 257 was based off of. GREAT price on this rig.

You know what, I thought it might have been you... I like that Hallmark... "Caseys Hallmark"

Bought a house in September too... Need something with fewer miles. Nothing wrong with this truck, just time for something new

Time to upgrade trucks. I have for sale my truck I bought in college. It is a 1997 GMC 1500. 4x4 5.7L Vortec runs strong! about 149,500 miles AC was replaced last April, compressor took a dump before I left for Africa so that was replaced again under warranty. Rebuilt tranny (didnt need to be, it was a mis-diagnosed fuel pump problem) New fuel pump/filter Brakes and fly whell replaced at 100000k 15" Eagle alloy wheels 35x12x15 BFG AT's with probably 60% left on them. 6" lift (rancho I think, lifted when I bought it) K&N filter Brand new headlights Aftermarket dual exhaust Complete with CouwsWhitetail.com sticker Truck is rough around the edges. Has a few places where the paint is peeling (what Chevy doesnt). One dent on the driver door where the previous owner opened the door into a pillar at a gas station. The interior does have some stains and the driver side seat is starting to VERY sowly leak filling. The truck runs like a champ and has never left me stranded. Trying to get $4,200 KBB has it nearly $5,000. If sold here, a portion will go to Amanda. http://www.kbb.com/kbb/UsedCars/PricingRep...pePath=Trade-In untitled.bmp

Leave grandpas rifle as it is! Trust me, that is something you will for ever regret. Keep it the same, and if you want something "sexier" then buy another rifle. My most valued rifle is the one my grandfather hunted all over North America with. My dad used it to take his first Elk, and me my first Mountaion Lion. Trust me, you will regret breaking grandpas rifle down from what it is/was. -
It didnt meet my expectations.... It surpassed! You know how well they took care of us, and the hunting was awesome!

Nice pictures dude! Thanks for having me commit to it long ago. It was a blast! Glad the .257 took good care of ya! -
and no scull shoots. Attaboy Casey. that last monkey looks like he took one in the ear hole. Nope! In the neck, just above the shoulders. I hit the other babboon in the same spot... It turns their lights out very very quickly. Those African animals did not like the TTSX at all! I could not believe how the southern hempishpere has some sort of automatic cruise control for the bullets! I kept explaining to Andrew how I dont usually shoot like that... He was surprised!

I have the following: 2 logs of skoal Some lug nuts I found (6 total) I am SURE they come from a jeep 3 bald tired that will fit your jeep 6 pairs of old hiking socks I bushnell rangefinder that doesnt work and a Mathews Q2. You can drop it by the house, I will make sure the socks are clean.
