    7mm

IF I were you, I would start by jumpin on that 7mm rem 700 ADL in the classifieds. That is a awesome price, and the caliber is a dam good one. Being accurate to 1000 is quite a feat. Thats a LONG ways and to be done correctly takes some high dollar, specialized gear. A regular old plane jane rifle cant do that.

FS: Rem 700 ADL in 7mm Mag

7mag is one of the best donor caliber/actions there is! Thats what my 257 was based off of. GREAT price on this rig.

    FS: My hunting truck

Time to upgrade trucks. I have for sale my truck I bought in college. It is a 1997 GMC 1500. 4x4 5.7L Vortec runs strong! about 149,500 miles AC was replaced last April, compressor took a dump before I left for Africa so that was replaced again under warranty. Rebuilt tranny (didnt need to be, it was a mis-diagnosed fuel pump problem) New fuel pump/filter Brakes and fly whell replaced at 100000k 15" Eagle alloy wheels 35x12x15 BFG AT's with probably 60% left on them. 6" lift (rancho I think, lifted when I bought it) K&N filter Brand new headlights Aftermarket dual exhaust Complete with CouwsWhitetail.com sticker Truck is rough around the edges. Has a few places where the paint is peeling (what Chevy doesnt). One dent on the driver door where the previous owner opened the door into a pillar at a gas station. The interior does have some stains and the driver side seat is starting to VERY sowly leak filling. The truck runs like a champ and has never left me stranded. Trying to get $4,200 KBB has it nearly $5,000. If sold here, a portion will go to Amanda. http://www.kbb.com/kbb/UsedCars/PricingRep...pePath=Trade-In untitled.bmp
  9. Leave grandpas rifle as it is! Trust me, that is something you will for ever regret. Keep it the same, and if you want something "sexier" then buy another rifle. My most valued rifle is the one my grandfather hunted all over North America with. My dad used it to take his first Elk, and me my first Mountaion Lion. Trust me, you will regret breaking grandpas rifle down from what it is/was.

    AFRICA!!!

and no scull shoots. Attaboy Casey. that last monkey looks like he took one in the ear hole. Nope! In the neck, just above the shoulders. I hit the other babboon in the same spot... It turns their lights out very very quickly. Those African animals did not like the TTSX at all! I could not believe how the southern hempishpere has some sort of automatic cruise control for the bullets! I kept explaining to Andrew how I dont usually shoot like that... He was surprised!

    Long range rigs

First of all, if you want a "1000 elk or coues rig" and you only shoot 100-200 rounds a year you need to atleast triple the amount of rounds you shoot. There is no way in helll you can consistently kill out to 1000 only shooting 5-10 boxes of shells a year! I shoot more than that on a dozen coyotes every winter!

    Whats the problem??????

Brent, I am not sure what you mean by this.... Are you trying to say that the Feds (BP) doesnt already target the drug smuggling? That its not looked upon seriously?

    Whats the problem??????

Considering the job I have, I have had many a conversation with people. A girl I literally I have know all my life (I am almost 25, I have known her about 22,23 years!) Anyways, her baby daddy/boyfriend is a Mexican-American named Jorge *****dez. She invisions this bill as him, her, and their daughter walking down the street minding their own business.... A cop sees he is brown/of Mexican descent and for no reason at all asks him for his citizenship and his ID. If this were the case, than yes it would be racial profiling and racist. This is not how I see this bill working! Also, people seem to assume this only applies to people or Latino/a descent... Do people not understand they are not the only immigrants and come here illegally? The fact of the matter is (from my understandind) this bill doesnt change much... Before, if police came across a suspected illegal alien all they had to do was call USBP to get an immigration inspection done. Now, they can perform it themselves and cut out the middle man. All that people who are here legally have to do is provide proof of ID and or citizenship/immigration papers (which are required to be carried at all times), prove they are legal and go on with thier day!

    wtb rifle

Remington Model 7's are great guns period! I might try to hunt one down in .243 as a coyote rig when not carrying the AR!
  23. firstcoueswas80

    Long range rigs

I am a firm believer that the scope base being bedded to the action helps alot. My base on my .270 wsm and .257 wby is bedded to the action and I think that helps. Maybe not a bunch, but I do think it helps.
