    Good problem 2 tags

I would spend the time you were going to archery hunt out scouting around for your December tag. As of now, you can get a archery tag every year, but how often does a December rifle tag come along?!

    .25/06

110 Accuond, 100 TSX or TTSX, I also shot the 100 Scirocco II thorugh my .257 wby and it shot pretty good. .8-1" which is what this gun does consistently with pretty much anything I throw down it!

    New Scope

Gonna stir the pit a little here, and just go out on a limb. It seems like you bought the new scope with the BDC for the purpose of shooting long range. Great. Gotta upgrade gear to shoot farther and better. 100% fine, true and understood. Anyways, dont think that just because you have this new scope and BDC in the scope that 500 yards is a chip shot with the BDC. I killed my last buck at 571 yards, and I had shot more than 225 rounds last summer through my new coues gun testing loads and testing the turrets. It takes a while to do the long range thing. Dont just jump right into it with the new scope and the VDC reticle

    loose or pellets?

It was a good day for sure! Shooting that muzz and getting that group sure was a relief, wasnt it Scott? I was pleased with the AR and the 257 as well! Good day!

    trigger .257wby mag

Timney's are great triggers. Considered kinda middle of the barrel for after market triggers but I love mine. I have a non pull weight adjustable on my 270 wsm (which is ok because it is right around two and a half anyways). I love it.

    Long range shooting

What I would build: Barrel : 25-26 inch Lilja Action: Remington 700, of course Stock: McMillan in what ever configuration I wanted at the time. Talley one piece rings Zeiss 4.5-14x44 with turrets. Caliber? Either one of the big 30's... 300 RUM, 300 wby, etc OR (and probably this one) a big, fast 7mm. 7 RUM, 7 WBY. 7 mm's are more than enough for anything, and their bullets tend to have the highest BC's around.

    Remeber this one?

Scottboy has done it again. Another gorgeous mount! This is my 2008 buck, and here he sits now. Not a big buck, but a really neat buck with a cool story, and a good, long shot Here he is then: And here he is now:

    Leupold 6-18x40

Dang I hate to agree with Casey since he hates me Holy crap, I actually agree with Casy too. Maybe he's drunk. Anyhow, I feel 6x is a little high for a low end on a 40mm scope. I'd never go below a 50 with a 6x low end (or in general for that matter.) My 2 pennies. I am the drunk one?! Atleast I know how to spll Kevn

    Meet Brutus...

Tracy, be my camera man. I have the perfect spot picked out. Has a 75% success ratio, and most shots have been within 50 yards. Scott, I have the press, you get the dies etc and we will feed him plenty of plinking ammo.

    Meet Brutus...

I told Scott I want to take it coyote hunting. That is a rowdy rig.
