Didnt have too much going on this year. Started off the year with some predators: Then I went deer hunting and had a fun hunt! Finally had a 103-105" buck in my scope but it didnt work out. Ended up with a awesome buck on the last day. Then Scottyboy and I hammered the Mearns in 2 short hours. Now I am in search of a Javelina! Good luck to all in 2009

Just weighed him at #22.5 he sure looked big coming to the call. .300 wby mag (and all wby mags) SUCK if you dont reload. They are expensive as all get out for factory loadings. Another vote for the 7mag. Great round, and factory ammo is affordable. How about a .270wsm? I absolutely love mine and it kills like the hammer of Thor!

What is he wanting to hunt? Deer, coyotes and javelina he is fine. I like more power (as would most) for elk.
