Overridden with the Need for Accuracy?

Consistency is a huge deal. My wsm CAN do .138 (personal best), but most groups are .5-.75 inches.. Still excellant. I think you hear more about 1/2" guns now because more people are starting to realize the importance of handloads and shooting from a solid rest on the bench, taking guns to smiths to get bedding jobs, trigger jobs etc etc... Most people even see the need to test different factory loads to see what the gun shoots.

Sports bar in Flagstaff or Williams

Yeah I cant stand the Dodgers either.. Especially since all their success is from the addition of ManRam. Ya gott admit, they played great ball, and put it to the cubbies!

I spent a couple hours at Jims house.. It is depressing... All of these GIANT bucks, (most of them killed in AZ) adorn one wall of his house! Bucks that would make the normal coues hunter's mouth drop... Good lord are there some impressive deer!

    Coues Whisperer

Did you let the barrel cool between groups? Im sure you know this, but too much heat eats the throat away like nothing else! I can only shoot El Chupacabra twice before it gets too hot to touch.

My mom and dad will be sending you a bill for the college education that I spent more time on this site, than I did studying! Ernesto, good to have you back buddy. I picked up a set of banded ear plugs made by Peltor. At the range, if I get a little spit on them, they go so far into my ears I swear they start to touch brain matter! Shooting with Scout'm and his muzzle braked guns is no big deal with these things in. I love them and they will stay in my backpack from now on!

    My 2008 elk hunt

Amanda, those binos dont look Swarovski green to me... You should know you can't kill an animal with any binos accept Swarovskis! That picture of Hector on the site by the campfire is priceless! Sounds like a good hunt, I am jealous!

Overridden with the Need for Accuracy?

Very well written! Couldnt agree more! Something I like to do is push myself more and more every time out. If I have two shots that are together, I put a lot of pressure on myself to make the last one go right in there with them. While out in the field, I like to shoot at things that are near impossible to hit.. Let me give you some examples of success that I have had: Jack Rabbits at 450+ yards. Prickly pear fruit at 200+ yards, with nothing by my body to make the shot. A small gord (about the size of a tennis ball) stuck in the arm of a tree, 250 yards (one shot, with witnesses pretty proud of that one) Points, colors, shadows on rocks etc and different distances. Walk my shots into consistently hitting a rock the size of an elk kill zone at 720 yards with Scout'm one day.
