There are usually a good amount of camps concentrated around Pena Blanca. Lots of deer too.

How long have you watched him for? Has he always been a 3x2, or was he going down hill?

How far fron Kachina did the old warrior die? Congrats on a nice bull that was well known! Like More D said, nice to see he will make it on someones wall, than die of old age!

Woke up at 3 am this morning to make it to a members house to do some calling. First stand was uneventful. Second stand, Bill had a doe that he dang near had to stand up and box! Snapped these pictures between the 2nd and 3rd stand. How many mearns in this picture? Third stand was there the fun started! About two minutes into the calling, I hear something coming behind me (GREAT!) I turn around and see something running about 30 yards from me. I still dont know what it was, but have an idea. About a minute later, I hear some "roaring", growling coming from up the canyon. It sounds real close to Bill, but I dont hear his 12 guage ring out!(ends up it was atleast one was a lion, Bill had one at petting zoo distance, and we think the figure that was behind me was a lion as well!) About 1 minute after the roaring, I hear some barking really close. After scanning, I see a nice little grey fox barking on a rock from about 30 yards. The first shot from "El Chupacabra" was true, and put the fox on the ground! (My first) Heres a "as she lay" picture On down the road we went to the next stand. About 3-4 minutes in, I see a coyote working its way through the brush a mere 20 yards away. I get on where I think it is going to come out and sure enough it does. I must not have held low enough as the TSX sailed right over its back. On a automatic reacton, I cycled the action, and put the second shot into the running coyote. 2 for 2 for the .257 wby! Here they both are!

I finally got some blood with the 12 guage! This BIG male came in from about 800 yards as soon as I let out the first squeal!!! #4 buckshot at about 35 yards did him in!!! -

How to Squirrel Hunt?
firstcoueswas80 replied to bowsniper's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
I like to move real slow and watch and listen.. Key there is listen... If you are in a squirrels area, he will tell you. All you gotta do is find out where he is by looking for his tail to move every time he screams at ya. -
which model of rifle do you prefer?
firstcoueswas80 replied to devinv's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I had a client in 2006 whos Mark V custom deluxe basically "failed". If my memory serves me correctly, the housing on the very rear of the bolt "twisted" away from the rest of the bolt, making it not possible to use. Despite the urging of Christian and myself, he kept removing the bolt from the rifle when he would put it in the case.... He ended up using my rifle, scratched the heck out of it and missed a nice buck! I am yet to read anything bad about the Vanguard Sub MOA. -
If you dont like it, you not being too picky.
-
If it is stamped 300 wsm, there is no way that it is a pre 64. The action could be a pre 64, but like RedRabbit has said, it would have to be customized.
