    36B Hunting Tips??

Rookie, I have hunted 36b for years (about 8 or 9) Alot of the areas that I hunt, I have been showed by other people who have hunted there for much longer than I have. I made the mistake of publicly saying one of the areas and it dang near cost me some long time friendships. Forgive us if we do not jump at the chance to offer up "where the deer are." Like has been said, take some time and learn the unit. It is a VERY large unit with ALOT of deer. Take Redneck for example, the day that he was scouting, he stumbled into me in one of my good areas. It can be that easy sometimes. If you take the time to sit behind some binos you WILL find some deer. PS, calling out a high standing member like RedRabbit is NOT a good way to get info!
  4. Very nice! That arrow from her bull is picture perfect! Is that a Magnus broadhead?

Chris, I cut him up the gut nice and clean. I then pinned every 4" to a 2x6 and covered in Alum and Epsom salt. Gonna go on the "wall of fame".

    Camping Trip

When I had my elk hunt in 7e a couple of years ago, I camped on 151E ( a road that branches off of 151) and it was very very nice. I was using the natural restroom about 50 yards outside of camp and had several mule deer feeding within 50 yards until the wind switched. Lots of very nice places to camp out. 151E connects 151 and Hart Prarie road to each other.

Best spotting scope for 500$ any advice

I bought the Cabelas Alaskan Guide series spotter that was for sale on the forum. It is no Swarovski or Leica, but it is not bad. At 20-40x it is very very nice. When I crank it up to 60x is where I can notice the difference from the top name spotters. But for the $225 that I paid for it, I am pleased!!!

    SNAKE!!!

I have more than enough .40 shells to kill a snake or 600.... Brent, I put him on there with the same seasoning as the steaks! Pepper and a generous amount of garling salt! Just how I like anything on the grill! And, the snake was awesome!

    SNAKE!!!

Hector, The Ribeyes were fantastic. Good balance of Garlic salt/pepper, and I could still feel the pulse... MMMMMM I know what ya mean about fileting along the back bone. Seems like it might be a little work though? I enjoyed picking the meat off of the back bone. That will not be the last time I eat rattle snake... Plus, the skin turned out really well and looks good on the wall!

    SNAKE!!!

That was the first time I have ever eaten snake, and I must admit it was pretty dang good! I might have a hard time letting a decent size rattler go from now on.. Might become table fare!

I got the snake. Stretched his skin out really nice! It is a bummer bout the lion, but theres always next time! I think both of them were small, younger lions.. I already have one of that kind of lion, need a good size one!

    What a day! (Updated)

I was shooting the TSX, hoping it would zip in, and zip out. If I would have hit the spot I needed to, it might have worked well but the shoulder on the fox pretty much ruined that one! Also, both shots were at EASY archery ranges so Im sure that had something to do with it!
