I do believe it was the land owner, as he came THROUGH signs that said no hunting/trespassing. That is why we were pulled over.. We had just seen the signs for the first time and we were about to look at the map.

Im with Scottyboy... Can O' Skoal is necessary... If I forget that, I might have well left my rifle, or bullets at home! I prefer Skoal pouches... Yeah, yeah, yeah.. sissy stuff.. nice and clean but get the same effect. BTW: Post away my friend... The only bad post, is the post that isnt made.

No, they are on the 44. The 50mm obj is on my .270 wsm and the muaser handle contacts. I dont know what size they are.
-
That Scirocco is a great bullet for elk and coues. When they come out with them in the .257 flavor, I am going to try them in my weatherby. Another good factory ammo to shoot is Federal Premium with the 140 Accubonds. My .270 shoots that stuff like a dream!
-
Miike, I was amazed that they fit! There is just enough space for the bolt to function properly! On my .270 wsm the mauser bolt hits and I can not have them on that rifle.

Kodak moment

Those are some pretty sweet pix! -
When it came time for me, I did the 44mm Zeiss, sent it for turrets, and put it in Talleys.
-
The scope will work fine with a 270... you just need to play with it to see what lines hit where, ya know? You can buy Zeiss with turrets or you can send them back to Zeiss to get turrets installed. I have one that came with turrets and one that I sent to zeiss to get turrets in stalled.. Cost is $115 for both turrets and return shipping.

It doesnt really matter if it was designed for the 270... Shoot it and see where they hit.... 800 is pretty dang far shot for any rifle..

Coyote... Wheres my gun. I usually strip the tails off and dry them out so they will stay... start a collection.

What would you do for your Coues?
firstcoueswas80 replied to Lance's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
Back in October, AzpackNhorns and I went out looking for a coues for him... Well, wouldnt you know it, I glassed up a buck as deep and up in the canyon as possible.. Away we went. And of course, he dumped him right were he stood at the top of the canyon... Oh man, was that fun! You cant really see too much, but this is the very top of the canyon and the buck is laying there dead with my camera zoomed all the way in. I told you he thumped him! ( As he lay) Two tired hunters! The pack out was interesting.. I have NEVER cut a deer in half until this buck. This is the first deer I have ever had to cut in half! -
Homework has already begun! I plan on scouting Cherry creek and Tonto Creek in the next few weeks. I will post pics. I know how much everyone here likes them. You are learning very quickly! Welcome!

There is only one Chupacabra! -
I have the Leica 900... It work fantastic. Lark, if youre not too proud to use a used one, they can be had for a decent price used. I think I paid something like $220 from a member on this board.

Wheres pix of your pops buck?

IMO, I put in for the hunts I want and dont really pay too much attention to the bogus point system... hence the name.

Jade, send me a PM, I might be in "need" of another Bark river...

That last ram is a heck of a stud ram! -
IMO, I dont think there are many broadheads period that will reliably go through the shoulder blade of anything much more than a javelina. I do not believe broadheads, or bow and arrows are designed to penetrate shoulder blade, or any tough bone. If I think I am going to need to penetrate any bone, there is no way in my mind that I am shooting ANY mechanical broadhead. I was shooting today, and the Wac'ems were flying absolutely perfect. I shot out to 50 yards and they shot at the same POI, and the arrows flew the same. I am impressed with these broadheads.. They have always flown awesome, but I am yet to stick anything with them.. Hopefully I change that here in about 3 weeks!
