I would assume you are talking the Jim White adapter. Yes, that screws off. I suggest trying to do it with fingers first, but you will probably need some needle nose pliers. I got mine off by putting my Duovids in my lap facing away. i used my right thumb on top, and my left index finger to loosen it.

Gino, back to back serial numbers is not that big of a deal. It is nice, and adds a little money to the collector value, but not by 25%, 10% might be a correct number.

Craig, wasnt at the swap meet but a gun show at the resort at Buckys casino. "kiley" is in the metal on the blade. Guy was a very nice guy and he explained to me how he makes his knives. Also showed me his personal knife he has carried and cut "many critters" up with. still very sharp in great shape. I like the knife, and it doesnt move I wont have a problem keeping it but I could use the money for a new scope.

Tony, I had a decision like that to make one time. I was deer hunting with my father several years ago.... Our buddies were below us, and we saw three deer streaking across hill, about 150 yards from us. After several minutes, we decided the two deer infront were fawns, and the doe was far behind them and it was obvious she was wounded some how. Now, I can not remember, exactly what was wrong with her but she was suffering from something major wrong with one of her hind legs. I leveled my (heck, I dont even know what gun I was using) I think 30-06 on her and at one of her many 20 second stops put the cross hairs on her chest and clicked off the safety. I ended up doing nothing about it. I, to this day do not know why not. I think my train of thought was I would really be taking 3 lives instead of 1. In the end, im sure they all suffered.
