Kevin, have you tried Midway? I have a brick of F215M, I could sell a box or two with out it bothering me too much. -
Man, that is some flexibility!

The mount for this buck is back http://forums.coueswhitetail.com/forums/in...c=7828&st=0 How did he turn out?

Went out today before I had to be at work with Ihunt2live, and another buddy of mine. This dog came in on the 2nd or 3rd stand. I was using a Fur Taker II. ( http://stores.eliteantlers.com/-strse-87/%...Call/Detail.bok ). I actually pulled out the steel reed to make the sound of a distress mouse or something small like that. not 30 seconds after I made a set of calls, I was looking to the right. When I looked straight infront of me he wasnt but 10 or 15 yards! When I turned my gun on him he saw me. I dumped him on the run, and put a finishing shot in him. Good size dog, and a good way to spend Saturday AM!

Oct. coues (A bit late) Mount
firstcoueswas80 replied to Bird Dog's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Very nice buck and mount! is that the natural color of the horns? They seem like a weird color! -
I have the J107 as well... I have loaded ALL of my hunting gear needed for the day, as well as 3/4 of a deer (more than once) and hiked the couple miles out and it works like a charm! Gino, have you ever wore that 4500? When I was looking at packs, I tried that one on and I found it was EXTREMLY top heavy and did not like it at all! Did you ever feel this way? It is a very large pack that, if loaded properly would be nice for a pack in hunt as long as the "top heaviness" went away.

I have never ad a external frame, but several internal and they all have been very comfortable and easy on the shoulders.

for the most part, the short mags do what a long mag does, in a shorter gun. The barrel can be 2 inches shorter, and the action 1/2" or so shorter. the 270wsm beats the regular 270 by 200-300 or so, and nearly matches the 270 wby. I love my .270 wsm!

For the most part in the field i use the brush part of the lens pen to knock off the bigger dust particals, then use the microfiber rag from SW.

Conference on lead coming up
firstcoueswas80 replied to Outdoor Writer's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
How long have we been eating animals that we have harvested with our firearms containing lead? And look at us, we have all turned out alright (well, minus cooze'n'sheep and coozefan) I dont get it. I honestly dont. BUT, I know its coming sooner than we think, so I will be working up loads for my rifles with the Nosler E tip or the TSX. On a side note, how do officers hope to enforce this? I have seen ONE officer EVER while out hunting and that was this past August while chasing pigs with my bow. -

What I have found works well... If you can support your right elbow (or whatever arm is connected to the trigger finger) it makes it easier to stay steady. I was shooting with Larry, Scoutm out to 510 and I was able to bust the rock consistently with my elbow supported by my ammo box.

Whats an elk hunt -
For me (6'3) the 9-13" isnt tall enough to see over anything when laying down, and not anywhere near tall enough to shoot sitting up so thats why I prefer the larger one. If I need to shoot sitting, I like to shoot with my backpack as my rear support.
