my vote is the second weekend in June as well. I will be in Pinetop the 5-9.... hopefully i will be able to call in some coyotes..... and actuall hit them! maybe i will bring some fresh carne de perrito. ( also known as carne asada at los betos, nicos etc) Snap, any where out there on the quad ride where we can stretch the legs out on the rifles? maybe we can bust some rocks, wayyyy out there? Just a though.

I have killed coues at 400, 150,250,280,360,235.... my dad killed one at 531, 150, 224 (guessed,before rangefinders came out). i have been with guys killin em at 354, 401, 157... have seen them missed at 380, 220 (me). Dad and I are both set up to shoot 500+ yards ( I have turrets, he has B&C reticle with the yardage tested) and I hand load for both rifles. We dont automatically take a 500 yard shot because the buck is there and we have our guns, but if that is the shot we are offered with no way to get closer, then its game on! Like a guy I know from a different sites' tag line reads :"Get as close as you can, but use your skills when necessary." I think that sums it up just perfect!

I am going to Prescott this weekend... I will see if I can track any down there. Gino... he said Nosler Try Norma.... I just ordered some .257 wby Norma brass and was impressed when it came in. When I ran it through my Forester die, it didnt contact at all!

Lots of other places have 7rum brass.... Nosler brass hasnt cracked up to be all its supposed to be. Try norma. Remington brass will work fine as well.

heck any mount with those two awesome bucks is an awesome one!

Went out today before I had to be at work with Ihunt2live, and another buddy of mine. This dog came in on the 2nd or 3rd stand. I was using a Fur Taker II. ( http://stores.eliteantlers.com/-strse-87/%...Call/Detail.bok ). I actually pulled out the steel reed to make the sound of a distress mouse or something small like that. not 30 seconds after I made a set of calls, I was looking to the right. When I looked straight infront of me he wasnt but 10 or 15 yards! When I turned my gun on him he saw me. I dumped him on the run, and put a finishing shot in him. Good size dog, and a good way to spend Saturday AM!

I love mine! It shoots well. I need to tighten up my load though!

And to think, those are the two sports you supported the most!
