    Snakes and Pups....

I love taking my dog out scouting with me as much as he loves to go but I get nervous in the summer months for that reason! I had never had a run in with a snake until one day north of Arivaca lake last year. I almost brought my dog with me but decided to leave him at home.. well, i was walking back to meet up with my dad at the boat when a 3-4' long Rattler coiled up at me wanting to eat me for breakfast..... Needless to say, he met 155 grains of .40 Smith and Wesson right to the mouth.. wasnt a big fan of it either!

    What release?

Mike, we have one of those thumb, caliper releases at SW made by Carter. I really like it! It is really light, and the trigger is light too, it shoots well! Other than that, the Scott little bitty goose and the like are nice!

    FS: 1978 International Scout II

They want me to have a newer vehichle that is "safer" they think if I were to get into an accident with the Scout I might get hurt. O hwell they are paying for the insurance and it is in their hands now. Lol so the steel used in 1978 is softer than the crap they use now?! Man, I felt like i was bullet proof (of course i was/am) when I had my 1989 F250! Solid steel baby!

    Powder storage ?

I just keep my on my shelf with the caps closed tightly. Dont really have to worry about moisture down here in Tucson. My powder usually gets gone before I have to worry about it going bad... Guess that what happens with you shoot a bunch! BUT I need to get a pound of Varget and H4831sc but weve been out of it here at Sportsmans!
