Yeah.... and he has BOTH horns still attached to the skull plate!!!! And you don't have to point out that it is the smallest buck that I have killed with my bow in the last five years..... You better watch your self old man. I can make sure you dont sport two horns either Just kidding... sorta. -

I would play the baby cottontail, distreesed rodent and juve cottontail for fox/bob cats. The chicken and house cat maybe try near some rural houses? I am looking at a electronic caller at SW, it is $34 and as the variable loudness. Sine it can not be changed by the remote, I will have to start it out loud and just let it go to town!

Swaroviski 15x56 and minox 15x58 BR
firstcoueswas80 replied to pedro47's topic in Optics and tripods
Come on now Kevin... I have already broken down the price... But I guess it does take the more intelligent Leica owners to see the logic behind the $1300 savings that you get when you buy the Duovids over the Swaros. When I comepared the Leicas and Swaros side by side, I 100% chose the Leicas over Swaros for clarity and edge to edge clarity. And us Leica owners are not dumb enough to let our tripods fall over, so we dont need the warranty. PS, my Spanish is more than mediocore, it got me a 84% on the Border Patrol test -

...Genius!!!...with comments like this...no wonder why Reese keeps you around, who would have figured. Dont waste your money on them Lee-ca's, I would buy the minox's before leeca's. Warranty-wise if you send back your Leica, dont expect them to send back for another 5 months. Too many people telling me horror stories about their customer service, if you could call it that Also keep in mind the new Vortex 15's Hey, it aint my fault I can do math and logical reasoning... thats what you get when you attend college, even if it is NAU lol! Have you ever looked through the Vortex azryan? I have only looked at em one time, at Ruffs in flagstaff and I must tell you, i was VERY disapointed! They didnt fit my eyes well, and were not nearly as clear as people say they are. I have never heard a horror story about Leicas warranty, only praises. Maybe we both have biased ears. Bobbyo, I think you are dead nuts on with the tripod adapter analysis! However, there are some good ones out there. Jim White makes a very simple one that I use that is as simple as it gets. Outdoorsmans makes on also, I will be switching to this one shortly just because with it on you can actually clamp down your binos and not worry about them falling "off" the tripod like with the JW. Ps Hc, I dont think he meant anything by the english comment, think it was more toungue in cheek humor -
Swaroviski 15x56 and minox 15x58 BR

Dont waste your money with the duovids. There is a reason why Swarovski sells a lot more, they are better. I guess Bass Pro got rid of their Leica selection, the optics guy informed me of this his exact words " they do not sell enough". They are more expensive then Swarovski, but "clearly" are not as good. I love the feud between Swarovski and Leica they are both good but Swarovski still wins out. Your right, i doubt Leica sells as much as Swarovski does. Most people pay for the name when it comes to Swaros. Leica has to be doing something right since they have been around for ever ( Leitz before they were Leica) The duovids are more expensive but you get two pairs of binos in one. lets break this down : Swarovski SLC 10x50 binos =$1799. Swarovski 15x56 binos = $1999 add that up and you get $3800 ( NOT CHEAP) Then you get the Leica duovids which are 10 and 15 or 8 and 12 power all in one, that are just as good (better) than the swaros for a whopping $2645 ( all prices from bearbasin.com) now, according to my calculations that is a savings of $1200... hmmm makes sense to me but then again..... -

Pedro, based on your name, i am going to guess that you speak spanish, if i am in correct, please excuse me. -

In my mind, you are leaving out the "top dog"of binos. The Leica Duovids. They have the best glass of all, and in my mind ( in my side by side comparison to Swaros) they are clearer. Now, the 10+15x50 are not as big around as the Swaros but in the side by side comparison I came to the conclusion that there isnot enoungh difference in brightness to change anything in a HUNTING situation! -

Dave, there is nothing like an AZ sunset. I was disapointed with the sunsets in Mexico, as they did not compare to ours here at all! I love taking pictures of the sunsets! Here is one I took at Patagoinia lake when I went to help Doug on his deer hunt.. I like the boat, the sunset, and the bird flying! -
So, when I go pig hunting, I glass deer all day! Yesterday I glassed about 30 deer, 8 bucks one above 80, one above 90 and then the biggest buck I have ever glassed up that was 110+ plus! Of course, I didnt see a single pig! In October, I glassed up pigs. On my December hunt, I saw pigs almost every day, and big herds with big pigs! Does this happen to anyone else?
