Very nice! Conrats! Word of advise, no matter what the predicement, you may want to field dress the deer as chances are the meat is no good. what bullet were you shooting out of the .270? sounds like a 130 Nosler Ballistic Tip.

Got the new bow! Now for sights and rest!

Ditto to what elmergoo said. For the trophy taker they have new rest out that you do not need to worry about. Here is a link for that rest http://www.trophytaker.com/arrow_rests.asp...type=arrow_rest My dad just picked up his first bow a few months ago and got the black ice also along with a trophy taker pronghorn and the spott hogg wrapped 5 pin. I highly recomend the spott hog wrapped sites since they are so easy to adjust and are really bright. Thats a pretty trick rest. I like that! I didnt look close enough, whats retail on that bad boy?

    ASU vs UofA

That's too funny . You are correct...UofA leads the all time series...we're just trying to close the gap. In all honesty I like to see any school from Arizona succeed because it still reflects good on us as a state no matter which of the teams it is. I just can't stand to lose to UofA in football which fortunately hasn't been too much of a problem lately. I remember when UofA hired Stoops I was worried thinking he was going to turn them around and make them for real. Looking back that obviously wasn't the case.....How has he not been fired yet???? You guys need to get him out of there if you want to change your football fortunes. FINALLY a ASU fan makes sense! Stoops has been the most over rated coach of all UA history! He is trying so hard to get a pipeline to Texas and Cali. that if you come from another state and are decent, they almost always start over you! This years team was all his recruits, and did jack squat! It seems every year he is on a hot seat, yet manages to win enough/the right games to keep his job ( ie beating cal and oregon) all though he lost to sucky teask such as washington state, stanford, and ASU. Believe me, most people want to see him gone, and for some reason he is not gone. I know for a fact that his players are not buying into his side line antics, and in fact some of them are disgusted by them. Many people believe it is just a show, and that he is a good actor and that is why he still has his job.

    ASU vs UofA

Also, if I recall correctly the streak ASU is on does not compare to the 1982 or so streak that U of A started.

    Gun smith recommendation

David, perosnally, with what he has done for the site and donated to the contest, I would do the little bit longer drive to see what he has to offer.

    ASU vs UofA

Three or Four good plays don't make for a well played football game. It was nothing but three and out all night long. That line right there is correct!

    ASU vs UofA

yep. u of a lost last night. but dont know how much id be bragging about that win. we gave you the game and you guys TRIED not to take it, any one that argues that point is ignorant when it comes to football. it was poor play on both sides of the ball, and one heck of a ugly game. tuitama tries to do too much when he is under pressure. instead of throwing the ball away, or just taking the sack he tries to get away and coughs it up.. he has done this his whole career and ticks me off!

    Best Choice for Varmint rifle

I agree.... For me Varmint Hunting is Practice for Big-Game Hunting.... Jason No problem with practicing with your deer gun... if you got the money Brian does ESPECIALLY since he doesnt reload!... ya know how much it would cost me to shoot my 270wsm as much as I shoot my Kimber 22-250?

    Rut?

Last year, I was able to guide in two December hunts, both in 36b. The weather varied much through the hunt... The Thursday before opening day, we all were in shorts and Tshirt... then Friday we were bundled up! On the first week of the hunt, it stayed cool but not cold and did not have much if any rut activity. The second hunt ( it was the last week in December) it got really cold, and we even got snow!!! SNOW IN 36B!!!! It was crazy! We didnt see much rutting activity then either. heck, I remeber Jim, Christian and myself glassed up two small bucks with swollen necks... but they were together. Weird Second week in Janurary I was pig hunting and glassed up a 105" type buck ( pure estimate based on what I am bout to type). He was chasin two does HARD... in fact, on his right side he was a gorgoues typical 4 point, with eye guards... all of his tines were broke off about 1-2 inches above where they start, but his 18-19 inch main beam was still intack as was his 6 inch eye guard. on his left side, hes eye guard was gone, but his 8" G2 was still in tact... but his whole main beam was broke off about 2 inches past that! He had his nose to the ground and had been beaten up but it was easy to see what was on his mind! I wanna run across the buck who whooped his but here in two or three weeks!
