    Need Boots....that last

Redman, I believe you are incorrect on the Danners. I have Danner Elk Hunters and one month after the one year warranty, the air bob soles started ripping off. I called Danner customer service and talked to a lovely young lady, I told her my situation and I sent them back to get resoled. didnt cost me a dime besides shipping to them. Look into it, chances are they are still under warranty, or will work with you.

For the hunter who has it all....

How can I have any experience with it since it's supposedly new and I never draw permits?? Actually, I rarely field dress deer any longer. I just skin and either quarter or bone them out on the spot. Which one I choose depends on how far from camp or the vehicle I happen to be. That said, I always used the tried and true method of cutting around the anus and tying it off with a small piece of twine. -TONY Tony, whats the difference between 50 yards away from the truck and 100 yards?!?!?!

When you thought you'd seen it all!

Had a cow hunt in 7e a couple years ago. I was behind my camp doing my business and i saw 3 muley bucks and a spike bull just feedin right there behind camp! too bad it wasnt a cow!

    Hornady SST .280

allen, Partitions are the "holy grail" of bullets. partitions are what all current bullets are compared to! it is like the muzzy 3 blade of bullets. it sets the standard. bullets meet and exceed it, as well as surpass it. if you lost thy elk with a lung shot chances are something went wrong... ie bullet hit a twig or something...

Gotta admit, shakin your hand for the last time (well, i guess not for the last time since you will be back for mearns next year) was a little shocking. It was fun while it lasted and I enjoyed all of our outings together. fair well scottyboy! hope bonnie and the lil one are as happy up there as you are going to be! better put some of Penny's weight onto Virgil so he doesnt freeze his huevos off up there!

    Do Bucks smell better??

    That aint sayin much!!
  23. Tyler, I understand that the wardens that are in the field care and are extremly knowledgeable. I ran into Mike Hollister the other day and he is far and away the most field smart game warden I have ever met. It is understood that the fault lies within the commision. If they dont listen to what we have to say, what our surveys say, our the reported numbers, than what is the point?
  24. terry, what does it matter? they dont take what we say or do into consideration at all. it does seem like its a waste of time to me as they dont listen to us anyways and they manipulate the numbers as is.
