Get Rid of Special Permits?
firstcoueswas80 replied to Outdoor Writer's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
I dont think this should be in place at all! The money raised is by people who have the money to pay $130,000 or what ever for an elk tag. They are the ones who are paying that part. People who can't afford $130,000 are still helping by buying out licenses and tags every year... We dont need to HAVE to put more money in, keep it how it is! ANOTHER price increase is the LAST thing we need! Besides, why pay the game and fish more money? I see there bulding a new development, wonder how much of our tax/hunting dollars thats gonna cost us! Asking them to raise the price is like asking them to limit how we hunt some of our grounds ( for those slow people (jim, brian, bryan) im talking about the wilderness proposal) IT DOESNT MAKE SENSE!!!! They have raised our prices enough in the past 5 years, why ASK for another raise?!?!?!? Its not like asking for a raise at work! Its like asking Uncle Sam to TAKE MORE of your hard earned paycheck! Its like shooting your self in the foot!! -
I had a garmin gecko, let me see if i can find it... I think my brother might have lost but let me try and locate it!

36b wilderness area
firstcoueswas80 replied to wklman's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
BP's choppers only hold a few agents at a time.. doesnt do much good. and if there are no roads, or they are all close, then they are not going to be able to get the patty wagons in. the proposed area will close off ALOT of ground to vechile acces. yes, foot acces would be an option, and yes it probably would make hunting better in there because of low or no pressure but this is the opposite way that i think it needs to go. we are loosing area to hunt do to ranchers closing roads, housing developments. we do not need to loose acess to any areas because of not being able to get into certain areas due to roads closed. i am 100% against this! -
36b wilderness area
firstcoueswas80 replied to wklman's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
Why would you be for closing areas off, or limiting the accesbility? I dont agree with that. As private ground is moving in on our hunting area as it is, I dont see why any sporsmen would be for ANY time of limiting acces to any area that can be/is hunted. Doesnt make sense to me! especially since I hunt 36b and i hunt one of those areas quite often! PS, tyson, im not specifically saying "you" directed at you specifically, just in general. -
