im not exaclty sure when my first deer hunt was, but i think i was around 12 or 13 years old. so that would make it 1997 or 1998. my dad and i were hunting in 34a and we would "glass" with our 16x50 bushnells on our walking sticks. we would actually see some deer. one year i was sitting in the same draw that my second coues came from when two small 3x3's walked out. they were maybe 250 yards from my dad and i and feeding in our direction. I decided to let them get as close as possible before shooting. well, they got in the bottom (had maybe 20 smll mesquites in it, though no way they could disappera) well i was wrong! they up an vanished into thin air! never saw em again!

Scott, that response you posted kinda made me think... I have had gut feelings of not to go around the corner, or to not look somewhere before... kinda makes me wonder if it is my sixth sense?! weird!

The thing about the VLD's isnt that they jam, its that they wont fit in the magizine, so it basically turns the bolt action rifle into a single shot because they are to long.

I tried shooting with dougs and it didnt work out too well with the design of the stock on my 270wsm. it seems like it would be rock solid though!

Minute of angle at any distance is more than adequate... 1 inch at 100, 2 at 200 3 at 300 and so on! I would hope that out to about 200 or 300 1/2 MOA is obtainable. looks good Gino! now your like me, no excuses for missing!

Tony, I had them for a while and i liked them. 12x wasnt enough power for me, I like the quality! nothing compares to 15x though!
