We will work up to the 257 for sure. I have a 20" heavy barrel AR that we will spend lots of time with. I have lots of 22 and 223 ammo. The "reactive" targets are a great idea, and can shrink as he gets better.

I have a Mystery Ranch Pintler. (It's the non-hunting version so not technically the Pintler) and I LOVE it. It is extremely comfortable, has a comfortable and light frame. However it is a little on the small size. It is PERFECT for hunting, however turns a little small when an animal is on the ground.

What does everyone use that doesn't have the fancy name tag attached to it? For years, I had a First Lite shirt and it was absolutely wonderful. By far the best base layer I have had. Dried out and didn't stink after the hike in was the best attribute. Being as I am the non-athletic build, and the price, the designer brands are not what I go for anymore.
