Lark, if its yours, it HAS to be a 30-06, or a 25-06... those are the ONLY good cases stemming from a 30-06 brass... you know that!

i dont think that buck is that big... i think hed be lucky to break 80".... no eye guards, and little mass with small spread. great find though! the bull on the other hand... i think hes 340 atleast! very nice!

John, i have been putting in for 36b december for 11 years... always end up with november 36b ( still not bad to me at all) i would not say i have had a "quality" tag, i have had 2 juniors only cow elk tags one in 27, the other in 1, one late unit 1 rifle bull tag ( the first year i ever put in, and my first big game hunt ever) and i think 10 or 11 straight deer tags... 2 or 3 in 34a in either october or november, one muley hunt in 28, and the rest october or november hunts in 36b. i would love to draw a real quality tag. my dads dream is to call in a bull screamin his head off and pissin everywhere to 20 yards and shoot him with his bow! i want to do that to! BUT as long as i get to hunt coues with my rifle every year, i am happy! now, a elk or lope tag would make the year better! i agree with the people who put in for once in a lifetime tags, dont get drawn with a handfull of points really have nothing to complain about... its a once in a lifetime tag... it could take a lifetime to draw! i also think there should be a 3-5 year wait for a HIGH quality tag... ie archery elk in 1, 27, 9, 10... something where 380+come from every year.... i dont agree that 50-75% of the tags should be for max points only, that doesnt include much for people who have just started putting in for those hunts which basically puts us back where we began.... people only hunting archery elk every 10-15 years.... what good does it do if it doesnt change anything?

Bryan, wanna compare groups? Now, i do not think my 270wsm is the best custom gun ever made, but if i do my part, it shoots 1/2 inch or so 99% of the time. my best with that gun is a .184...... i shot two groups saturday with Doug, one was a about 1.7 in which i did not feel good about two of the shots. the next one measured at .6 The rifle is a Bettin Custom built on a Mauser 98 action richards microfit thumbwhole stock with a Zeiss 4.5-14x50 scope. coues and coyote killer!

They went and refunded my card with the second set. So looks like I will only have one elk and one antelope tag instead of 2 each awww dang, just one elk and one antelope tag!!!! wish i had that problem lol! i want to go hunt elk with my bow!

i am pretty profecient with my 270wsm... shot a .6 yesterday with it and a .6 5 shot with my kimber 22-250... it still takes me 1000 shots to kill anything i shoot at! i have killed one mountain lion, and one deer with one shot! thats it! kiled a pig with a rifle, shot it twice but i didnt need to. then again, my lion wasnt 225 yards... it was 22.5 feet!

I learned that I only see mountain lions when I dont have a tag that should NEVER HAPPEN!!!!!! i always buy a lion tag!!!!! Gino, not even I had to shoot at my lion more then once!

I made a special trip home to see my parents lab pup when they got her. awesome dogs!
