When they moved up the dates, the department probably figured that they would have a substantial loss of apps anyway come on you should know better than that!!! that means AZGFD would have used their brains! we all know better than that!

opening day i passed on a buck that i should have shot. he was just a big fork, but i ended up passing on him and shooting a smaller fork on the last day. he was with two other nice bucks and i stalked wo 308 of them. never saw the 2 bigger bucks leave, but once i got set up found the big fork at 308 right away. i regret passing on the big fork, but i guess hind sight is 20/20. Also, dad and i used the quads a little too much. dad wasnt up for much hiking, and me not wanting to get too far from him i hunted "lazily" didnt do much hiking but a lot of quad riding. i wont be doing that any more, i will use my quad to get me where i want to get, then hunt and hike from there.

With a Spotter, you will need a heavy or atleast somewhat heavy tripod to hold the weight, especially with the windy days.

What is the greatest danger to Coue's hunting in your state?
firstcoueswas80 replied to SilentButDeadly's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
Habitat loss for ditto what Amanda said. also, i believe global warming may be chaning our cahnces of a quality hunt. i have heard stories of guys hunting coues in the souther units (34a,36b) waking up with snow and frost on the ground. now a days, if you get either one of those in December, your considered lucky! -
Deer game processing question
firstcoueswas80 replied to vml's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Things that i would have done differently" 1. i would not spray it off with water. 2. i would not have waited nearly 3 1/2 months to take it to the butcher, i usually take my deer the next day or day after if possible. on the other hand, try soaking it in milk for a while before you cook your next meal of venison -
doesnt matter to me what shade of pink it is as long as either you or jim are wearing it
-
will do, when you and i go out in december for my 110, ill shoot it 5 miles from camp.. long enough for ya?
