    First Coues for George!

Man i had a blast guiding for Jim! we had terrible weather most of the time but man o man did i have a blast! that video of George's buck is awesome! i cant wait to do it again! Jim, let me know when you go pig hunting, ill have the time to go out and pack that big ole pig you called dibbs on out for you, wouldnt wanna have you break a sweat my favorite part was right before Bret, Jerry and myself left to go after Jerrys buck i looked at you and called dibbs on packing out the buck. the look on your face and your response was great "(with a man your crazy look on your face) its all yours" hahah good stuff!

man, i have never been on or guided a coues hunt where it was as simple as saying "shoot that one" must not be guiding with/for the right people cause my hunts have never ever been that easy. i do agree that some hunts are like that, but thats on species that are either more predictable or because of a guide who scouted his butt off and knew where the animal would be, isnt that a big part of hunting?

    New bow hunter

i was in Sportsmans Warehouse last night getting my bow set up ( got the Mathews Q2 had to move the peep up quite a bit.) the guy there was very very helpful. he set my peep, cut arrows for me, shot my bow for speed, told me how to set my inserts correct and we chatted about hunting. it was great! he didnt charge me for any labor and was very knowledgeable!

they werent ringing, but i could tell for sure that he had a brake on the rifle ( a little sarcaism in my first post)

    Muzzle Breaks

hearing loss will come from a rifle with no brake also just as easily the amount of damage from a non-braked rifle does not even compare to the damage of a braked rifle. thats like apples to oranges. i have shot with Doug when he shot a friends 7mag with a brake, and with ear plugs and mufss standing 10 yards behind doug my ears still rang. when i shot my lion, my buddy had a brake on his 7WSM and he was 314 yards from me shooting at the second lion. from that distance my ears still hurt after his 4 shots. to me, it is not worth it!

    coues heart??

so the buck i shot this year, when i field dressed him, his heart was soft. i mean paper thin soft. all the other animals i have shot have had hard hearts. they were hard like a rock, i thought this was weird. any one had anything like this?

    bow, 7mag, .357

Bow : this is a older model PSE. it is Basically a nova, but has no name on the limbs. it was assembled by a world champion Terry Ragsdale. i believe it is either 50-60 but may be 60-70. i bought it when i was young so im a lil rusty about it. draw lenght i think is 27-29. comes with a 3 pin sight, rest D loop and stabalizer. $150 shipped or make offers same 7mag i have posted already. this time just the rifle. 700 bdl with a classic stock in 7 mag MAYBE 200 rounds down it. comes with 2 sets of dies, and a assortment of bullets. $450 or trade for a new 32" draw lenght bow Taurus .357 mag. no model number 6" barrel all black. shoots great. comes with hip holster and chest holster. if this gun has 100 rounds down it id be surprised. well taken care of $240 or make offer.

    coues heart??

no, the heart was not hit and it was fully intact. i did not keep it to eat it because it was so soft and weird, but usually i do.
