no buck for my dad, didnt see anything that itched his trigger finger. he would have loved to shoot those 3 that we glassed and i spotted. the plan was for me to get into position and for him to get over they and were going to flop bang them both, but that fell through when i could only find one of the bucks.we though we had em! but they gave us the slip.

Scott, always something positive to say! i love it!!!! i passed on a lot of smaller bucks but i had to take this one on the last day! i did see two 90-95" but they were a mile away and moving to the thickest nastiest stuff around. saw them 2 days in a row in the same place but each day they were in a bad spot. put a stalk on them opening morning and found the smaller fork ( there was 3 together, and he was a 70" fork) and let him pass. had him at 308 and then again at 418 but let him walk.

    Caliber for coues?????

Lance, my dad shoots a 7RUM also, pee shooter and man its accuarte too! shoots under an inch as a total factory rifle, just a tuned trigger to about 3lbs. 140 accubonds are deadly!

    Last Day Success.

very nice buck, very tall and massive. whats the story?

    Bones' Buck

this is the story as my cousin told me: the unit is 34a. him and his dad crossed a fence, right when they crossed the fence, they spotted a forky. my uncle asked my cousin if he wants to shoot and he says no. they look around for another deer and find this buck. my cousin runs to the nearest tree and guesses the distance. he made a gorgous shot and the deer ran 10 feet and died. he hit the buck right in the heart with his 6.5x55. no idea on the score, but im thinking right around 95".... either way a heck of a buck. this is his 2nd buck. his first is a beautiful buck with a small 3x3 basket rack.

    2006 Kodiak Alaska Trip

no doubt about that... not the perfect mushroom you suspect to see from a Accubond. SOMEONE that i know turned me onto them saying they were gods gift to hunters and now there all i shoot! ps, how was the internal damage and blood shot meat all that goos stuff? what did the wound channel look like?

    wish me luck!

Jim, thats all that matters to me! we had a great time. my hunter was new to coues and he learned alot from my self, Rick Bin, Enrique and Darren. we had a great time, got to try out some not on the market, protype glass and compare my Zeiss, to swarovskis, minox. it was a great time. one of the most enjoyable hunts i have ever been on and nothing more than a coyote was killed.

    Bones' Buck

thanks Christian! im not 100% sure of unit, but they usually hint 34a, but last year they either hunted 35a or b so it could be from either one of those units. i will ask him today. he shot this buck with one shot from his 6.5x55 mauser through the shoulders and top of the heart, buck didnt move a muscle.
