*UPDATE*Hitting a deer with a ricochet...
firstcoueswas80 replied to OpticNerd's topic in The Campfire
Shot a deer years ago and the entrance and exit were about 4-5" apart. He was bedded. My best guess was the bullet exited and then was a ricochet back into the deer. -
Leftover fun

My buddy has an arrowhead custom. It's pretty awesome. -
Nothing really exciting to post about this. My buddy glassed him up within range, I got behind his gun and got a little lucky. Mark and I had a blast and went 2/2. He shot his the morning before, I shot mine yesterday.

Leftover fun

Thanks gents it was a lot of fun. Never hunted with a muzzeloader before. New unit, new firearm. Relaxed hunt and we had a bunch of fun. -
Killing even more of our limited animals. Awesome.

Was this the buffalo incident everone was talking about
firstcoueswas80 replied to couesdeerhntr's topic in Buffalo Hunting
Chad Woodruff I think was the guys name, looks like a winner. -
It worked wonderfully with my pup. How ever, after one whiff and one zap, he knew the drill. Maybe not all dogs respond like that though.

Don't know too much about this, posting for my buddy. Made from military surplus parts.. It's in great shape, really nice piece. $1,500 obo
-
IMHO, waste of $100. Find someone who has a pet snake and get an e collar. Get your dog around the scent and the snake and zap the schit out of him/her. Mine took 15 minutes and $100.

Here is a cool one for ya. Just got off the phone with them and they say its from the 1950s. Belonged toy grandpa. They(the saddlery co) said it is worth about $235, im open to offers.

Honestly, no one has a connection to it in the family. I ASSUME it belonged to my grandpa, and I believe it did, but thats just a guess.

I just scanned through this topic and I haven't read every word posted. Has nobody brought up buck fever? If it's the biggest buck of your life it sounds like you might have been looking at the antlers while you're shooting. -
