  1. The hedge funds shorting GameStop were generally making the obvious call, GameStop's future was not bright. That said, and not being a fan of stock shorting, I have no problem seeing the hedge fund people getting burned at their game. I do have concern for the Investors that got in at these stratospheric levels, I see a bad outcome for those that paid top dollar for this stock.

Was in the 36’s two weekends ago found some deer along ways away we got in about 400 yards and got up to glass found the deer and about 15 minutes later we see some coues deer come running up over a little ridge which caused the mule deer to run we didn’t know what was going on few minutes later 4 illegals come up and over 3 had backpacks one was carrying a couple jugs of water second time running into them, like mentioned up above makes the hike in a little sketchy!

  3. Great thread and interesting read. Lance about covered it all. My 2 cents are, hunt where others are not. Maybe others do not hunt an area because too tough to hike, no road access and worst no big bucks. It is just nice to hunt up a buck working the terrain and using your own knowledge to work an area without dancing around others, some times shoot a small buck, sometimes pass on em and once in a while run into a nice one but 100% of the time a pleasurable hunt. How enjoyable is a nice buck if you are surrounded by other hunters, kinda diminishes the overall experience. This whole having a platoon of glassers working for the guide so you can shoot a buck just does not appeal but maybe that's what others pay for. if I am lucky I might get another 5 or maybe 10 years out of the old legs but its been a great 50 year ride.

Not quite sure why the nasty comments?  I did pretty well in school and from a copper mining town.

I remember there were signs in Safford that specifically listed Copper, Cattle, and Cotton.  I did a search and verified that and the same for Graham, Cochise, and Yavapai -- Three C's.  Additionally, Facts for now (https://factsfornow.scholastic.com/article?product_id=nbk&type=0ta&uid=10667852&id=a2001460-h😞 " ...Arizona's economy was dominated by the so-called Three C's. They were copper, cattle, and cotton. Those industries remain important. But today most Arizonans work in services or manufacturing."  Certainly the "smaller" counties were behind the times but the Three C's seem prevalent.  And now they push seven C's adding cactus and canyons so everyone is included.

I was born in 56 and I have always heard the 5 C's. But maybe some counties did not much like citrus and being rural were not to impressed with climate. When you work a ranch or farm climate more often that not is a hinderance more than a help.

Have you ever been to SLC? Skiing within 25 minutes, world class resorts, a legit international airport, Sundance, Park City, a stadium set at the base of the wasatch front, a ravenous fan base and the plastic surgery capital of the country, not to mention Wittingham was local.

Sorry but the only thing SLC and Tucson have in common is the number of Rose Bowls they have been too.

I lived in SLC for 30 years. Skiing is nice if you can afford it, great duck hunting and lots of elk hunting, also bit more options when it comes to fishing. I was very familiar with "the world class airpot" as well. All that said kinda looses some appeal when you figure the worst air quality in the country and gets pretty cold and unappealing in the winter, heck and Tucson has the best Coues hunting 25 minutes away. Just saying all in all SLC is really not so great unless you like hunting, fishing and skiing, but what coach has time for that?

  6. UArizona, first hire someone like the person responsible for the Urban Meyer hire and then responsible enough to find Kyle Whittingham.  U of U and Salt lake City???? How is that job any better than the Arizona job?  Now it sounds like U of A president pushed the AD to hire Fisch.
