Come on Jade, I know about that 130+ coues buck you've got pinned down south! I'll trade you any one of these animals for that double drop tine buck you have. Mike

Yeah, I sure like that bull's tops. I need to get my cameras back out there and find some new critters. These are are kind of old pics. I drew on that first buck 2 January's ago but he heard me draw and trotted off. through some thick brush. I was gonna take a prayer shot but decided I didn't want to wound him. I've had that happen 1 too many times. Mike

I guess I should have posted these under the trail camera section. Oh well.

Here is the size bull I'll be trying to stick in 2 weeks!! I think he'd go about 370"?

This is a joke post. I found out it would be illegal anyway. Here is a buck I've been hunting for 6 yrs. I think he may go 110".

Very cool variety. I also think that is a good bull with a lot of potential. He's got that extra long point on both sides that you see quite a few 400" bulls have. He looks pretty young but give him a year or 2 and he may be a really good bull? Cool lion pic as well. I've always wanted to try putting cat nip out. I know that males especially will go crazy over it as it has something that arouses them sexually. I know that trappers have used cat nip oil for bobcats. Mike

As most have said.. It is definitely a Mule deer's shed. A young muley probably because of the lack of mass.

Wow!!! That is awesome! Congrats Mike.

Hello all, I was let go from my Job today as a Senior Mortgage Consultant with Chase. If anyone knows of any positions available in this type of work I would really appreciate a reply or pm. I've been in the Home equity/Mortgage business for about 7 years now and I am very knowledgeable about mortgages and finance. Thanks in advance!! Sincerely, Mike Udall

Still going at it hard. I was offered a job with Bank of America but it was withdrawn as my background check was not completed in time for the training date!!!! I couldn't believe it! This was after I had gotten my fingerprints done and filled out all the new-hire paperwork. Any more leads would sure be appreciated. I'm really needing something with a Salary + commission. Not 100% commission like most Mortgage based jobs are. thx, Mike

Congrats on a once in a few lifetimes coues buck! That is what we all dream about right there. That buck appears not to have much of a spread but man the mass and points appear incredible!!! Would you mind posting how he comes up to 133"? I'm just curious as to how each of the measurements are as this buck could be the new WORLD RECORD!!! Mike -

270 WSM reloading suggestions
TREESTANDMAN replied to lionhunter's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I've got a Tikka .270 WSM that I love as well. Took my antelope in NM at 430 yds. 130 grn. 1/4" groups at 100 yds. -
Congrats on an amazing coues buck!! I will agree with most that some very big rookie mistakes were made. I'm sure "hero" regrets it but unfortunately that will not change what is bound to happen. That area is going to get so hammered this summer that the deer will be spooked permanently out of that area. Based on what I've heard and read it seems as if our "hero" is a real nice guy who maybe just doesn't have a lot of sense. I still can't believe that magazine posted the unit and a detailed map showing the detailed area of where this toad was killed. To all you E-scouters out there. This is why we don't give out our honey holes and why a seasoned hunter will keep his mouth shut about certain areas. I can't stand it when someone posts any detailed info about an area as it is disrespectful to any other hunters out there that do actually hunt the area. I made the mistake of showing a relative one of my honeyholes several years ago... He ended up taking his greedy work buddy there and the next thing I knew my camera's were stolen and the place was bombarded with hunters whereas the previous 5 years I was the only person to my knowledge. Kind of off the subject I guess but my point is that we as hunters have got to be careful if we find a good area with the genes because they DO exist.
