Need input on what you'd score this

BCoover, The difference between a 9" and 16" spread is 7". The diff. between 100" and 70" is 30". That is a lot of bone. This bucks main beams go up as opposed to out like most coues bucks. I agree that the main beams are not awesome but they are decent. His G2's are great, especially his left G2, and G3's are nice as well. I have seen other pictures of this buck and his mass is actually very good. All four of his circum measurments will be very good on both sides. He is definately a solid 90" buck I think. -
Elkman, I know where this 147" coues buck hangs out in unit 22. I've seen him in the same canyon many times. I will give you the GPS coordinates for $500.00. You can send it to me paypal and I will send you the GPS coords after receiving the $$.

I agree w/ amanda. I have called does in a few times but I've never called in a buck. A lot of people I know have however. I have called in does and coyotes succesfully using the "deer talk" call. So far I have not had luck rattling/grunting, or bleating w/ bucks. I hope to reach that goal this december.

He is a taker all right!! Congrats!!

AZ Guide, Has Heath told you about the possible Coues typical World record they spotted in one of the desert units? Ask him about it. The unit was all he would tell me and he is my relative. Based on his description it sounds like an incredible buck.

I am just joking around. It is completely legal and probably will be for quite a while still. On a more serious note I did hear from a friend who's friend said a G&F officer told him the G&F dept was contemplating the banishment of the use of bait for all game animals. I'm guessing there is no truth to this.

Wide World of maps has quality maps and map software. They are a little on the expensive side in my opinion. The hunting unit maps they sale are very detailed and fairly current. I don't know of any better.

It happened. Using salt is illegal now. Sorry fellows. The only areas that permit the use of attractant are the indian reservations now. The toho odam reservation only allows Bashas water softener salt, a minimum of 1 bag every 6mo within a 2 square mile radius.

Need Help Scoring this Carp
TREESTANDMAN replied to matthewp45's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
Now that is a Carp worth taking!!!! Holy crap!!!! That rack is sweeeeeet!!! I'll give you some nikon binos for those GPS coordinates. -
I agree that deer prefer to eat the soil after the salt has leached into the ground. I have gotten countless pictures and videos of the deer ignoring the salt blocks or bag salt above ground and pawing and eating the dirt where the salt is less concentrated. They will still hit salt above ground if that is all they are offered though. Supposedly the AZ G&F is considering the banishing of all forms of baiting all game animals including the use of salt. Salt would be permitted for ranchers of course but it would not be permissible to hunt over the salt. This is not set in stone yet but will be voted on soon.

Not to start a fight or anything but it is illegal to have a side arm if you are archery hunting deer. I'm assuming you didn't have your bow w/ you Muledeerarea33 and you were just hoping the deer would come closer for a better look?

That buck is what my dreams are made of!!! What a HOG!!!
-
Congrats to you and your friend!!! Can't wait to see that toad!!! 106 is a HUGE buck!!!!!!!! You guys keep raising the bar for this coues competition dang it.
-
Sorry to hear about the accident Mark. I hope your wrist is better in time for Dec. At least you can still check your cameras!!! Who knows, maye a 120" buck will find your salt in the meantime. That 112" buck from last year is going to be real tough to beat though.

I've attempted stalking these coues deer quite a few times and have yet to kill one with this method. I would say that keeping the wind right is the most important thing to watch. Wait till they bed down, a lot of the time coues bucks will actually hold tight while bedded which sometimes allows even the clumsiest of us to stalk w/in bow range. This method is a blast!! Kudos to any of you have accomplished this great feat!!!

I'm with you Keith, Most Child molesters are repeat offenders. Taking their lives would sure save a lot of innocent children and parents emotional grief and pain. I say we should casterate them the first time, let them serve some time and then death if it happens again.

Amanda, I think it would be a good idea to give the authority to a few of the sites members to delete porno posts. I don't like the possiblity of young hunters that frequent this website seeing this junk.
-
That crap is for losers. The results of that garbage include suicide, low self esteem, divorce, infidelity, violence, and the worst of all CHILDREN MOLESTATIONS. This is a proven fact. If any hunters are exploring this filth I highly recommend to stop it now.

I hope you entered the big coues buck contest! Of course it won't do you much good since my buck will be bigger. I have to wait till January though.

I haven't seen many fawns at all this year yet. I'm a little surprised.
