The total filespace required to upload all the attached files is greater than your per post or global limit. Please reduce the number of attachments or the size of the attachments. I've reduced the size to where all you see is a little dot and this message still comes up. -

I'm trying to place the picture as an attachment right now but it keeps saying it is too large. Anyone have any advice? -
I have the Delorme and Nat Geographic map software. Both have advantages over the other. My Delorme software has more detail w/ the springs and NG has more in the way of tanks. The 3-d options are different w/ both giving different scales on terrain. I can spend hours at home doing my prescouting w/ this software now.

Hey Bullwidgeon, What do you do for a living? -
As "the breeze" posted earlier, they will not hit your credit card for deer. Everyone who puts in for NM deer has to wait for the actual website postings.

Well said Tim. I will also agree w/ GMM that for some reason deer will nail the mineral sites either during a light rain or just after rain. I had 4 bucks and a bunch of does come into a mineral site in unit 27 in August 6 or so years ago. The 4 bucks were all separate instances and it was in a one day and one morning period. One of them was a 100+ inch whitetail buck, another a 140+ 4*4 muley, a spike muley, and a spike whitetail. I harvested the spike muley. Since then my hunting skills and accuracy w/ a bow have greatly improved.

The word is the results will not be posted until tomarrow. Keep checking the g&f website though.

I just wanted to get some of your opinions on wheather you think a bucks rack size has anything to do with when he drops? It would seem to me that having a larger rack would cause the bucks rack to drop earlier than a lighter smaller rack. In the past month or so I have gotten pictures of smaller bucks that have lost one or both sides and a nice big 100" that held onto his longer than the smaller bucks. What do you guys think or what have you noticed in the field?

Congrats you lucky dog!!!

I think Josh Epperson's dad runs hounds for lion. You might want to pm Josh.
-
I've heard Josh Epperson is able to make a pretty good lion in heat meow.
-
Another method of hunting lions is hunting them during the lion rut. The lion rut typically runs from March to May. The same methods of calling elk can be used letting out a long MEEEEOOOWWWW TO LOCATE A Tom. This meow can either be taken as an agressive gesture or a mating invitation from a female depending on its tone. The best way to capture the differences in mating calls would be to listen to your local house cats during these months. One partner should slowly move away from the lion as it comes into the call while the other partner intercepts the love crazed or aggressive Tom.

Retlaw, We would love to see the pics ASAP!! There are a couple of ways to post pictures. You can email Amanda the pictures for her to post or you can post them as an attachment.
