25-06 You will make a total of 8 circumference measurments. 4 on each side. The first between the burr and the eyeguard, 2nd at the smallest circumference point between the eyeguard and the 2nd point, 3rd between the 2nd and 3rd point and the last circumference measurement on a typical 3*3 is halfway between the 3rd point and the end of the main beam. You would then measure the length of the main beam from the outside. Next measure the eyeguard, 2nd point, and 3rd points. Last in your case would be to estimate the inside spread. Add all of these measurements together and you will get the final gross score. It is pretty confusing and I had to have someone show me how to do it. You might want to take it to a hunting shop there in tucson. Someone there could probably teach you how.

That is awesome thunderbolt. Not many can say they have seen bears during the spring months. Get a trail camera on that water, with a good lock!

TAM took some pics of the antler w/ his digital and said he would email the pics to you Amanda. He will also be emailing 2 live pics, one in velvet and one hard horned.

Destroyed Trail Cam

Last year I had a camera on a little spring and the same bear would turn my camera about 60 degrees or so. This happend 3 times. I would have pictures of his ears or snout and then the next pictures would all be of the hillside. Luckily he never harmed the camera. -
Looks great! Congrats.

Do you have the score yet?

I like that -
I have gone through different phases. My first 2 bucks were spikes and I was thrilled to death w/ both of them. Then I killed a small 4*4 coues and was also thrilled. Now I have kind of gotten into trophy hunting and the point system so my goal is to hold out of a 100+ incher.

I Shot one also that would score a little bit lower than yours. Most tender steaks I've ever had!

Hey 25-06, What unit did you take that monster buck in last year? Did you mount him?
-
I like to hunt the hybrids.

I'm going to let you guys in on a little secret. Unit 42M has got some great coues potential.

I think Coues specific scent would market very well here in AZ. I have had some success w/ eastern whitetail urine but if I had the choice, I would choose the coues urine.

Here is my 2 cents. CHD, you need to grow up and quit acting like a sissy. Josh's post to you was a suggestion to help you. Quit being so damned sensitive. This is the internet. I'm done. -
I don't have the internet at home or a scanner for that matter. My tom was also from 23.

Very good finds Standman. I'd like to get out this Saturday and try to find the sheds of a couple of bucks we've gotten pictures of.
